Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Xi Ling (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jim Bundaberg (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Xi Ling! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Jim Bundaberg ! The judges for this bout are Hugh Johnson, Chris Dean and Eliza Hachem.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Bundaberg gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. Ling controlling from the top position. Ling has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent. Ling could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Bundaberg is trying to keep Ling in close.
Bundaberg keeping moving, preventing Ling from controlling successfully. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Ling controls from within his opponent's guard. Ling wanted to stand there but Bundaberg had control of the position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Bundaberg tries to land a sweep but no joy. The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work. Bundaberg working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Ling. Ling thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Bundaberg really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Ling. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Ling wants to stand but Bundaberg is controlling his posture from full guard. Ling might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Ling is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. Bundaberg jabs. That one connects to the head of his opponent.
Ling shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard. Bundaberg is in trouble now - Ling has advanced to mount!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Ling is working for a guillotine from mount but Bundaberg frees his head quite easily.

Bundaberg is squirming around, avoiding Ling's attempts to control the action.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Bundaberg is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Ling is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Bundaberg is surviving well by controlling Ling's body position as best he can. Ling tries to stand up but he's trapped just for the moment. Ling looking to control and managing it successfully. Ling wants to stand but Bundaberg is holding on to him, trying to stop him posturing up.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Ling takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Bundaberg is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Ling looking to control but Bundaberg is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Ling with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.
Ling is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Bundaberg can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Xi Ling dominated that round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Bundaberg misses with a double jab
and Ling counters with a shoot takedown. Bundaberg fights it but they end up in guard. Bundaberg wants to get back to his feet but Ling passes into half guard.
Ling is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Bundaberg has managed to free his arm - good work. Ling wants to stand but Bundaberg has hold of a leg and an arm, so he's trapped for now. Ling keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Ling tries to stand but his arm is trapped. Ling not landing any meaningful shots this time.
That's one minute gone in the round. Ling is working for a submission of some sort.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Ling seems to be working for a kimura but Bundaberg defends the submission attempt. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Ling wants to stand up but Bundaberg is controlling the position.
Ling is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Bundaberg can do to turn this around? Ling is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Bundaberg defends it well. Still in half guard, Ling seems content to control.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Bundaberg wants to improve his position but Ling is controlling well.
Ling moves nicely into side control. Ling wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Bundaberg , who protects the arm well. Ling tries for a kimura but Bundaberg is defending well. Bundaberg throws his opponent off and manages to get back to his feet! Nicely done!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Bundaberg moves into range and connects with a jab. Ling clinches. Ling is looking to take this one to the mat. Ling has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Bundaberg is trying to keep an underhook but Ling manages to get the takedown into half guard. Ling slows the pace down in half guard. Ling is trying for a kimura here. Bundaberg looks like he's in a lot of pain... and he's tapping out! Ling wins by kimura!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:55 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Xi Ling!
