Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Pre Fontaine!
The judges for this bout are Arvi Lind, Matti Vanhoillinen and Johanna Lukiainen.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Cole gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Fontaine stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Cole swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Cole throws a couple of shots from the bottom but they don't land.
Cole is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Cole looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Cole looking for a sweep. Not yet Cole, not yet.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Cole keeping moving, preventing Fontaine from controlling successfully.

Fontaine controls the pace of the fight for a moment.

Cole is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Fontaine is aware though and is defending well.
Fontaine slips nicely into half guard, despite the strikes coming from Cole.
Fontaine scores with a couple of good hammerfists.
Fontaine is keen to just control but Cole is a slippery customer.

Cole actively working from the bottom here.
Fontaine not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.
Cole is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Fontaine scores with a couple of nice shots.

Cole regains full guard, whilst avoiding punches from Fontaine.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Fontaine passes Cole's left leg - he's now in half guard.
Fontaine missing with some ground and pound from the half guard.

Fontaine loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.

Fontaine is sitting in close to Cole's body. Cole has gone for a guillotine from the bottom. Oh damn, that looks pretty tight! Fontaine is panicking - it looks like this one could be all over! Yes, Fontaine is tapping! That was a very nice submission by Cole.
