Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Boris Slater (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Matthew Dean (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Matthew Dean has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Boris Slater! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Matthew Dean! The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Robert Twigg and Tiny Johnson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Slater darts in looking for a takedown but Dean gets double underhooks and turns Slater into the cage. Dean is looking for the big counter here. Dean shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Slater tries to kick Dean off in order to stand up. Dean Avoids the leg push though and dives into side control. Dean lands a nice forearm strike. Dean landing with strikes to the head and body from side control. The ground and pound from Dean seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent. Dean cracks Slater with a big right hand but Slater just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.
Dean looks up at the clock and then as Slater takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Dean smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
Dean tries to move into full mount but can't pass Slater's legs. Dean has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Dean with the ground and pound but Slater regains half guard under the barage of strikes. Dean working over Slater with some ground and pound. Slater looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable.
That's one minute gone in the round. Slater has hold of Dean's hands but Dean slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
Slater is rocked! Dean lands a massive shot from half guard that has rocked Slater! More strikes land and this one is all over! Dean jumps to his feet and is applauded loudly by the crowd!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:32 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Matthew Dean!
