Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Shoei Braz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Joy James (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). This should be fireworks!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
12 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Shoei Braz! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
11 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Joy James! The judges for this bout are Colin Fotheringham, James Atkins and Donald Grub.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! James throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and James takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. James scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.
It looks like Shoei Braz has been cut. James throws a good cross that connects.
Braz throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
James looks like he wants to counter punch here. Braz closes this distance looking for a takedown but James circles away. James throws a counter combo. Braz looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight. James throws a series of punches but Braz avoids them all with ease. Shoei Braz seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Braz is defended easily by James. Braz shoots in for a double leg but James sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Shoei Braz. That's going to take a lot out of him. James defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Braz. Braz avoids a punch combination nicely.
That's one minute gone in the round. Braz fails with a takedown attempt from distance. James moves out of range of the body kick from Braz.
Joy James is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. James swings for the body but Braz moves out of range.
James drives through and clinches with Braz against the cage.
A nice left hand lands by James.
An uppercut on the inside fails to land for James. James lands a right hand. James lands an uppercut. Braz blocks an uppercut.
Braz pushes off an throws an elbow but James leans to the side and avoids it. We're back to clinching against the cage. Braz has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate. James misses with a hook from the clinch. Braz blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
James throws a head punch that misses.
That's two minutes gone in the round. James keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Braz's efforts to push away. Braz blocks a punch to the side of the head.

Shoei Braz's cut is getting worse. James gets a clinch. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Braz is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables James to keep the fight standing. James working aggressively here.

James scores with a shot to the side of Braz's head. Braz drops down looking for an ankle pick but James pulls his leg out and moves away.
Braz tries for a takedown but James sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. James looks to land a combination but Braz avoids it well. Braz avoids a punch combination nicely.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Braz has his takedown stuffed and James counters with a lovely straight right hand! Braz shoots in for a double leg but James sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Braz takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him. Braz looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Braz closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. James is pressed up against the cage. Braz has hold of a leg and is looking to drag James down to the mat. James avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance. Danga de danga de dang - James scores with a four punch combination!
Shoei Braz's cut is bleeding quite badly. He's got to try and protect it. Horrible takedown attempt by Braz or perhaps it was just good defense by James, which made it look bad. As Braz backs off James throws a huge counter combo but Braz manages to avoid it all.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Braz misses with a head kick.
James unleashes a big counter combination but Braz bobs and weaves and avoids any damage. Braz displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as James throws out the jab. Braz dodges the punch combination from James.
Braz misses with a takedown attempt and James counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Braz showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from James.
James misses with a straight left. Braz dives in for a single leg takedown but James sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage. Braz throws a sloppy head kick and James counters with a nice body shot. James closes the distance and lands a one-two. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Joy James dominated that round. The cut man is working on Shoei Braz's cut. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!
Braz gets tackled into the cage by James. James maintains the clinch. James fails to land with a short punch on the inside.
James throws a punch but it's blocked by Braz. James misses with the head strike.

James misses with a hook from the clinch. Braz jumps guard but James stands there with Braz around his waist. Braz gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. James throws a punch but it's blocked by Braz. James working some nice short punches in the clinch.
Jeez, Shoei Braz's cut is really nasty now. The referee must be thinking about getting that checked. Braz jumps guard and drags James to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back. Braz is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
That's one minute gone in the round. Braz is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. Braz trying to keep a closed guard but James is proving a slippery customer.
James wants to stand but Braz is controlling his posture from full guard. Braz wants to sweep here but James controlling him for the moment.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Braz shoots in looking for a takedown. James tries to sprawl out of it but Braz keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. James manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Shoei Braz. That's going to take a lot out of him. Braz changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. James tries to avoid it but Braz manages to keep hold of a leg and drag James to the ground. James escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. James is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot. James lunges at Braz with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Braz's hand.
The referee calls the doctor in to look at Shoei Braz's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:45 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Cut). Joy James! A relieved looking Joy James thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
