Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Pascual Perez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tsau Tsetsku (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Perez comes into the arena with Another One Bites The Dust blaring out of the sound system. Tsetsku has chosen Paula Seling & Ovi - Miracle as his entrance music. Tsau Tsetsku acknowledges the crowd's support as he enters the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 10 - 10 - 1, fighting out of New York, Pascual Perez!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 10 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Tsau Tsetsku!
The judges for this bout are William Gold, Paul Tew and Colin Fotheringham.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tsetsku connects with a jab.
Tsetsku thuds a left hand into Perez's body.
Tsetsku lands a slapping body shot.
Perez walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
Perez has his takedown stuffed
and Tsetsku counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Tsetsku connects with a right hand. Perez shakes it off.
Perez tries to clinch but Tsetsku moves out of range.
We've been hearing reports that Perez has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.
Tsetsku lands with a right hand.
Tsau Tsetsku seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Perez gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Tsetsku.
Tsetsku is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.

The two fighters are working to gain dominance in the clinch.
Perez fails to pull the fight into his guard.

Tsetsku makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut.
Perez is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Tsetsku to keep the fight standing.

Perez ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Perez no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.

Perez is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Tsetsku defends well.

Perez stands up and waves to Tsetsku to follow him.
Tsetsku swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Perez.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
A lazy left from Tsetsku finds it's target.
Perez moves in looking to clinch but Tsetsku pushes him off.
Tsetsku lands with a shot to the body.

A left lands for Tsetsku.
Perez takes one on the chin but seems OK.
A jab lands there for Tsetsku.
Tsetsku fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Perez on the side of the head.
Perez takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Tsetsku lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Perez at a distance.
Tsetsku ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.

Perez shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Tsetsku napping and manages to drive through into side control!

Perez fails to land a wild elbow strike.

Perez is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Tsetsku knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

Perez stands up.

Tsetsku moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.
Perez on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.
Perez tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Perez throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
Tsetsku doesn't fully commit to the body shot counter.
Tsetsku lands with a straight right. Perez didn't see that one coming.

Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Tsetsku, as that shot connected.
Perez tries to close the distance and clinch but Tsetsku swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Nice uppercut there from Tsetsku.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Tsau Tsetsku dominated that round.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.


Perez misses with a wild body shot.
Perez tries to clinch there but Tsetsku circles away.
Tsau Tsetsku seems to be getting the better of the standup.

Tsetsku jabs Perez to the body, keeping him at a distance.
The fight stays on the outside here - Perez looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Tsetsku throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Perez stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Perez is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Tsetsku scores with a jab. Perez acknowledges it with a nod of the head.

Tsetsku dodges the punch combination from Perez.
Perez tries to clinch up.
Tsetsku lands a nice looking body shot.
Tsetsku uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.
Perez takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.
Tsetsku keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Perez closes this distance looking for a takedown but Tsetsku circles away.
Tsetsku ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
Tsetsku scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one.

Perez looks like he's developed a pretty tasty lump over his left eye. He'll need to avoid taking much more damage to that.

Tsetsku stuns Perez with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Perez has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Perez there as he acknowledges the shot.
Perez doesn't manage to clinch there - Tsetsku circles away.
Perez takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Tsetsku has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Horrible takedown attempt by Perez or perhaps it was just good defense by Tsetsku, which made it look bad.

Tsetsku manages to create a bit of space in order to work his way back to his feet. Perez keeps hold of his opponent and drives him back against the cage.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Tsau Tsetsku showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Tsetsku throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Perez on the side of the head.

Tsetsku got a little sloppy there for a moment and Perez has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Tsetsku has managed to get both his arms back between Perez's legs - danger averted.
Tsetsku is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
Perez controls Tsetsku momentarily but Tsetsku frees himself.
Pascual Perez has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
