Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Arthur Schopenhauer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ricardo Gerson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Schopenhauer kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is London Calling. Gerson is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: RAP JIU-JITSU. Ricardo Gerson has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.

With a record of 16 - 6 - 0, fighting out of London, Ricardo Gerson!
The judges for this bout are Phil Schofield, Donald Grub and Paul Tew.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight.
Gerson swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

Gerson drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Schopenhauer manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Gerson has Schopenhauer in his guard.


Gerson has his foot on Schopenhauer's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Schopenhauer works his way back into a safe position though.

Gerson is displaying good submission defense - not really looking in danger of submitting to the rear naked choke at the moment. That could change in an instant of course if Schopenhauer gets his way!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
