Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Larry Mayer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Badd Evans (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Evans has a niggling injury. He would have liked to come in 100% fit but that's not always possible. Badd Evans looks lathargic as he enters the arena. Wake up son, you're about to have a fight!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Larry Mayer! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Badd Evans! The judges for this bout are Franklyn Lucas, Reed Andrews and Russell Pearce.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Mayer tries to close the distance and clinch up but Evans swats him away and circles back towards the center. Evans looks winded! Mayer moves into range and lands a nice body kick.
Mayer misses with a takedown attempt - Evans sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Mayer throws a mid kick that lands with a slap. Mayer works the jab nicely. Mayer connects with a high kick. Mayer has closed the distance and engaged Evans in a clinch.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Mayer has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Evans uses from the top position. Mayer working a defensive guard here.
Mayer could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Evans won't allow Mayer to sweep him here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Mayer is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control. Mayer continues to stall. Evans got a little sloppy there for a moment and Mayer has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Evans has managed to get both his arms back between Mayer's legs - danger averted. The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up. Evans drops back, looking for a kneebar! Mayer looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Mayer looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Mayer!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Mayer in side control, just content to control the action for now. Mayer is trying to get an arm triangle but Evans is defending well. Evans pushes Mayer away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Mayer gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control. Mayer has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand. Mayer closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Mayer jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Evans walks away with a smile on his face. Mayer gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. Mayer has his takedown stuffed and Evans counters with a two punch combo. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Larry Mayer. That's going to take a lot out of him. Evans shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Mayer defends it nicely. Mayer is looking to counter with head kicks. Mayer throws a head kick that looked like it stung.
Evans tries to keep at a distance but Mayer has taken the fight into the clinch. Mayer is trying to drag Evans to the mat but Evans just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Mayer is trying to pull guard but Evans turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch. Evans breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Evans fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Mayer to the ground. Evans is now in Mayer's guard. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Evans trying to control but Mayer is working from the bottom. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Larry Mayer dominated that round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Mayer throws a sloppy head kick and Evans moves out of range easily. Mayer lands a front kick. Mayer clinches up with Evans and pushes him back against the cage. Mayer ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Mayer no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard. Evans trying to control but Mayer is working from the bottom. Mayer looking for a guillotine here but Evans defends easily.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Evans is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. Evans is breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Evans trying to stand up but can't free himself from Mayer's guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Mayer looking for a guillotine here but Evans defends easily.

That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Evans trying to control the position from guard on top but Mayer is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity. Mayer connects with a crisp jab. A jab lands there for Mayer. A head kick from Mayer lands but Evans takes it in his stride. Evans moves into the clinch successfully.
Mayer wants to break free but Evans has control.
Evans tries to break free but Mayer pushes him back against the cage. Evans is trying to force a seperation but Mayer has the dominant position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Mayer tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Mayer has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Evans is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet. Mayer pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Mayer keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Badd Evans seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Mayer paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button. Mayer tries to clinch there but Evans circles away.

Mayer lands a kick to the ribs of his opponent. Nice work there - in and out in a flash.
Evans instigates a clinch. Mayer is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Larry Mayer. That's going to take a lot out of him. Evans is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Mayer to keep the fight standing. Mayer fails to pull guard.
Evans has clasped his hands together around Mayer's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Mayer dodges the ground and pound from Evans. Mayer tries to get back to half guard but can't. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Larry Mayer dominated that second round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!
Mayer looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Evans is fending him off so far but Mayer persists. Nope, Evans circles away and we're back to standing. Mayer wants to clinch and Evans counters with an inside leg kick. Mayer shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Evans as he jumps to the side. Evans forces Mayer back against the cage and clinches. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Evans stalling in the clinch but Mayer improves position. Mayer jumps into guard, dragging Evans to the mat.
Evans would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard. Both fighters are breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Evans is fighting to break Mayer's control of his arms but Mayer is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment. Mayer knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Evans on the ground. Evans trying to control the position from guard on top but Mayer is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Evans postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Mayer looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Mayer keeping moving, preventing Evans from controlling successfully.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. Evans swats away the attempt to clinch by Mayer. Mayer tries to close the distance and clinch up but Evans swats him away and circles back towards the center. Mayer lands a nice looking body shot.
Mayer is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Evans can do to turn this around? Mayer closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Evans to the mat! Evans manages to get full guard. Evans manages to wriggle out and sneak his way back up to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched up against the cage. Evans fails to pull guard.
Evans wants to take the fight to the mat but Mayer manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Mayer jumps into guard, dragging Evans to the mat.
Evans lands a couple of decent looking shots. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Mayer is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control. Evans pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Mayer is keeping the position for now. Evans wanted to stand there but Mayer had control of the position. Mayer working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Evans.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Mayer wants to sweep but no luck. Evans chips away with some ground and pound. Mayer trying to control the position.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. Evans shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Mayer eats them both and turns towards Evans to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo. Evans closes this distance looking for a takedown but Mayer circles away. Larry Mayer has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Badd Evans. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Mayer slaps away a takedown attempt from Evans, before circling back to the center of the mat. Badd Evans has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Larry Mayer is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Evans falls off balance throwing a combination
and Mayer counters with a nice kick to the body.
And that's the end of the fight! Badd Evans comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Mayer has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
