The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
An inside leg kick from Gennero misses.
Gennero throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Little counters with an inside leg kick.
Little misses with a straight left.
Gennero misses with a looping right.
Gennero jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Little uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Gennero .
Little has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Little there as he acknowledges the shot.
Little uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Gennero .
A slow jab from Gennero misses its intended target.
Little takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Gennero throws a body kick despite being completely out of range
and Little counters by moving into the clinch.

Gennero creates a bit of distance and throws an elbow that only just misses.
Little tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.

Little escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Gennero lands with a nice body punch.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Gennero throws a right and a left that both miss.
Gennero lands a nice hook to Little's body. Little takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Gennero rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Little counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.
Little digs a good hook to Gennero 's body.
Good leg kick by Little there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.

letting Little counter with a right hand.

letting Little counter with a right hand.
Gennero looks to score with a jab to the body but Little is just out of range.

Little throws a hook but Gennero avoids it easily.
Gennero 's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Little connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Gennero scrambles back to his feet.
Gennero explodes with a nice body kick and back out of range. Nice work.
Little pounces like a tiger and cracks Gennero with a vicious hook! Gennero is down but not out! Little follows up with more strikes forcing the ref to jump in and stop it!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:19 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Omar Little!
Omar Little decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
