Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Jason Pearson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Taiga Jim (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jim has chosen I Know There's Something Going On as his entrance music. Jason Pearson has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Jason Pearson! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Taiga Jim! The judges for this bout are James Atkins, Donald Grub and Daniel Bishop.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Jim lands with a thumping leg kick.
Pearson takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Pearson shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard. Jim makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Jim. Pearson with a flurry of punches that miss. Jim looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Pearson working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Jim keeping moving, preventing Pearson from controlling successfully. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Pearson being controlled here momentarily. Jim is looking for a triangle but Pearson pushes his legs off easily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Jim wants to sweep but no luck. Pearson content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots. Pearson is looking to pass into half guard but Jim pushes him away with his feet and jumps on top - now Jim is in guard.
Jim got a little sloppy there for a moment and Pearson has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Jim has managed to get both his arms back between Pearson's legs - danger averted. Pearson wants to hit a switch here but Jim passes into full mount! Oh no, disaster for Pearson there! Pearson keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Jim with shots to the head and body - Pearson looks very uncomfortable down there. Pearson in a bad spot here, taking shots to the head. Jim controlling from the full mount. Jim scoring with some good ground and pound from mount here. Will he manage to finish Pearson?
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! The referee warns Pearson that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
Pearson is desperately trying to improve his position but Jim has a good base and remains in mount. Pearson tries to lock up and control but Jim gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. Jim pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Jim putting on the heat here with some good ground and pound!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Jim takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Pearson is bucking up trying to escape but Jim cracks him with another couple of good strikes. Jim tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. Jim lands a big shot there that rocks Pearson but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Jim controlling his opponent. BOOM! Jim connects with a massive shot to the dome!
Jim lands a big elbow. Jim lands with some strikes.
Pearson is rocked! The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Jim cracks Pearson with a big head shot that has him covering up instantly! He's rolled onto his side and the referee has seen enough - this one is aaaaaaaaaaall over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:57 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Taiga Jim! Taiga Jim decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
