The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Alves throws a low kick, looking for Cambiasso's leg but Cambiasso calmly moves out of range.
Cambiasso shoots in but no luck this time.
Alves goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
Alves tries to score with a leg kick but it misses it's target.
Alves misses with a low kick.
A slow jab from Alves misses its intended target.
Alves throws a leg kick but Cambiasso checks it.
Alves lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Cambiasso circles away quickly and effectively.
Alves wants to land a leg kick but Cambiasso is out of range.
Alves throws a sloppy head kick and Cambiasso moves out of range easily.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Cambiasso rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Alves moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

and Cambiasso counters with a body kick that stops Alves in his tracks momentarily.
Cambiasso shoots in for a double leg but Alves sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Alves wants to land a leg kick but Cambiasso is out of range.
Alves misses with a series of wild punches.
Cambiasso tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Alves paws at him with a jab and circles away.

and Cambiasso holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
Alves wants to break free but Cambiasso has control.
