Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Danny Jones!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 14 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Hannu Haapana!
The judges for this bout are Ian Loll, Elvis Blanc and William Peck.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jones shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Haapana as he jumps to the side.
Haapana scores with a sloppy right hand. Jones should have avoided that one.
Jones fails with the takedown
and Haapana counters with a nice low kick that buckles Jones's knee momentarily.
Haapana stuffs the takedown.
Haapana steps in looking to clinch after the strikes miss from Jones.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Danny Jones. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Haapana connects with a jab.
A solid leg kick lands there for Haapana.
Haapana misses with a head kick.
Jones goes for a double leg but Haapana avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Haapana continues to drive forward.
Jones takes one to the side of the head.
Jones tries to score a power double leg takedown but Haapana sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Jones somewhat.

Haapana clinches up with Jones and pushes him back against the cage.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Haapana lands an elbow that stopped Jones in his tracks for a moment.

It looks like Danny Jones has been cut.
Haapana working on landing some head shots here - that one got through nicely.

Haapana lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Jones backwards.
Oh Jones is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Haapana throws an elbow but it misses.
Jones blocks an elbow strike.
Jones really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Haapana pushes off and fires off an elbow that misses, before clinching up again, against the cage.
Haapana throws a hook to the body. More of an arm punch but it's all scoring with the judges.

The referee calls for Haapana to work.

Haapana gets through Jones's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.
Haapana pushes off an throws an elbow but Jones leans to the side and avoids it. We're back to clinching against the cage.
Haapana lands an uppercut in the clinch that drops Jones to his knees! Haapana keeps firing more shots against his stricken opponent and the referee jumps in to save him!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:38 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Hannu Haapana!
Hannu Haapana bigged himself up after the win. The crowd seemed to love it.
