Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Francesco Owens (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jasper Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jasper Jones is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Francesco Owens! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Jasper Jones! The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Jack Bonds and Don Winkell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Jones looks to land a combination but Owens avoids it well. Jones rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Owens moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Owens appears to be looking for a counter punch to the body. Jones ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Owens moves away. It looked like Owens was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit. Owens showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Jones.
Jones looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights. Owens takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Owens is defended easily by Jones. Jones darts in and out, connecting with a jab.
That's one minute gone in the round. Jones throws a body punch but Owens moves out of range. Owens tries to clinch but Jones moves out of range. Owens with a lazy takedown attempt and Jones counters by clinching up. Owens's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Jones goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo. Jones fakes a jab and then connects with a hook. Jones comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range. Owens avoids a punch combination nicely.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Jones throws a right and a left that Owens avoids nicely. It looked like Owens was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit. Nice sprawl there from Jones as Owens shoots in. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Francesco Owens. That's going to take a lot out of him. Jones lands an overhand right.
Owens is rocked! The crowd are loving this. Great action here. I'm just looking down at my notes here and I see that.... oh! Jones has cracked Owens with a big right, followed by a left! He's out on his feet! Jones lands another huge swinging hook and Owens tumbles to the canvas! The ref dives in to save Owens, before Jones can land any more shots!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:33 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Jasper Jones!
