Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Omar Dijkstra (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ray Finkle (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Dijkstra comes to the cage accompanied by Soulfly - Back To The Primitive. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
8 - 5 - 1, fighting out of London, Omar Dijkstra! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
31 - 17 - 2, fighting out of New York, Ray Finkle! The judges for this bout are , Jack Bonds and Don Winkell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Finkle lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head. Dijkstra shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Finkle is trying to defend but Dijkstra finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further. Dijkstra is working for a kimura but Finkle is defending it quite comfortably.
Finkle keeps control of the position for the meantime. Finkle tries to get to full guard but Dijkstra has control of the leg. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Dijkstra is thwarting Finkle's attempts to control the position. Dijkstra passes to full mount!

But Finkle has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Finkle! Finkle stays in close to Dijkstra's body and controls the position. Finkle throws a big elbow that misses. Finkle trying to control the position from guard on top but Dijkstra is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Dijkstra utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Dijkstra keeping moving, preventing Finkle from controlling successfully. Finkle is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Dijkstra is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Finkle defends well. Dijkstra isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Finkle stacks Dijkstra on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Finkle! A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet. Dijkstra is looking for a sweep. Dijkstra is trying to improve his position. Dijkstra tries to slip a leg under to move to half guard but Finkle presses down on the leg and jumps into full mount! Dijkstra working to try and regain half guard.
Finkle controlling from mount. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Finkle looking to ground and pound but Dijkstra is blocking nicely. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Omar Dijkstra will probably get the nod. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
A low kick from Finkle is predictable there and Dijkstra counters with a takedown into side control. Dijkstra wants to lay and pray for a moment but Finkle keeps working. Finkle prevents Dijkstra from moving into mount. Dijkstra working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. Dijkstra misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.

Dijkstra is putting a hurting on Finkle here, landing some big shots from side control. Finkle is positioning himself to get back to half guard. You can see the frustration on Finkle's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Dijkstra has knee on belly and now moves to full mount! Trouble for Finkle!

Dijkstra is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Finkle has managed to escape the submission attempt.

Dijkstra is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Finkle can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

And that's the end of the fight! Omar Dijkstra showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Dijkstra, winning every round. Will the judges agree?
