Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Carlos Newton (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Hammer Radovan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Newton comes to the cage accompanied by Destiny's Child - Bootylicious. Hammer Radovan acknowledges the crowd's support as he enters the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Newton misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.

Radovan escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Newton gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Newton has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
The referee tells the fighters to keep busy.
Newton definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.

Newton is working to tighten his grip on Radovan's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Radovan has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Newton is really squeezing tight and eventually Radovan passes out! Newton breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!

In his post fight interview, Carlos Newton started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
