Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Palmer stuffs the takedown. Shampoo shoots in and drives through. Palmer sprawls well. Palmer feints and as Shampoo raises his hands in defense, Palmer changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Palmer keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Shampoo's head. Palmer has gone for a leg lock! Shampoo slips out almost immediately though and dives into Palmer's guard. Palmer looking for a sweep. Not yet Palmer, not yet. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Shampoo avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Shampoo looking to pass the guard. Shampoo trying to pass the guard. He's being very persistent here but Palmer manages to land a sweep and now he's on top! Shampoo is trying to control the position but Palmer postures up.
That's one minute gone in the round. Palmer drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Shampoo manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Palmer has Shampoo in his guard. Shampoo stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Palmer swivels though and keeps the full guard. Shampoo throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Palmer works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Shampoo tries to free his leg and advance position but Palmer is retaining full guard. Shampoo is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. Palmer working a defensive guard here.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Palmer working for a triangle but Shampoo defends it easily.
Shampoo postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Palmer is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Shampoo, into his guard. Palmer wants to control from the top but Shampoo keeps moving. Palmer stopping the sweep attempt from Shampoo.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Shampoo avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Palmer looking to control the position here, rather than advance. Shampoo working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Palmer. Shampoo preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Shampoo had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Palmer is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Shampoo Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Palmer's back instead. You can see the frustration on Palmer's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Shampoo is looking to finish the fight by rear naked choke. Palmer knows exactly what he's got planned though, so he's defending well. Maybe a few strikes would soften Palmer for a finish. Shampoo gets his hands free as Palmer looks to control. Palmer manages to reverse the position and now he's in Shampoo's guard. Nice work there by Palmer.
Shampoo is looking for a triangle but Palmer pushes his legs off easily.

The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Palmer drops back looking for a submission - "I'm sorry sir, but I'm gunna break your leg" says Palmer as he cranks on the unfortunate limb! Shampoo screams and taps out before any major damage is done! Don't mess with Palmer! Nice submission victory there!
