Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Tribbiani Joey (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Yancy Makaki Iii (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Joey comes to the cage accompanied by Clasic Sofl Rock. I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

The judges for this bout are Franklyn Lucas, Bruno Lombardi and Anthony Taglia.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice takedown defense from Makaki Iii. No joy for Joey on that attempt.
Joey looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Joey closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Joey gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Makaki Iii regains guard.
Joey trying to control the position from guard on top but Makaki Iii is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Joey slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
Joey is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Makaki Iii has escaped the position, nice work there.
Makaki Iii can't do much from the bottom here.
Makaki Iii really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Joey. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Joey is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Makaki Iii knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
Makaki Iii felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it.
Makaki Iii is looking to reverse the position.

Joey thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Joey swings around for an armbar but Makaki Iii sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Joey's guard.
Joey working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Makaki Iii doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Oh but Joey is tightening it up a little... Makaki Iii has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Makaki Iii reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Makaki Iii taps out! Nice BJJ there by Joey!
