Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Sergio Tran (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lambis Kobelikos (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Sergio Tran has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Sergio Tran! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Lambis Kobelikos! The judges for this bout are Donatello Bradman, Ben Watson and Bruno Hogan.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Tran closes the distance and clinches up with Kobelikos, looking for a takedown. Tran pushes Kobelikos against the cage but Kobelikos circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Kobelikos unleashes a big counter combination but Tran bobs and weaves and avoids any damage. Kobelikos tries to clinch there but Tran circles away.
Tran throws a head kick but Kobelikos moves out of range.
Tran misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Tran shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Kobelikos is trying to defend but Tran finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further. Tran is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Kobelikos is just riding it out for now. Tran eventually gives up the hold. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Kobelikos is trying to maintain the position but Tran is very close to passing his half guard. Kobelikos tries to roll over but Tran keeps him under control.

Kobelikos is looking to control Tran's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Kobelikos avoid being mounted? Kobelikos is refusing to be controlled, as Tran sits in half guard. Tran really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Tran is looking for a kimura but Kobelikos is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Tran to get the leverage. Tran seems to be working for a kimura but Kobelikos defends the submission attempt. Kobelikos is looking to improve his position.
Kobelikos really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Tran. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Tran is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Kobelikos is positioning himself well to prevent Tran advancing to mount. Kobelikos is trying to control but can't.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Kobelikos is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Tran is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Kobelikos has managed to free his arm - good work. Tran will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Kobelikos avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Tran stops Kobelikos from standing up. The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up. Tran makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard. Tran is in close to Kobelikos's body, working some short punches and elbows. Tran content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots. Tran lands a couple of digs. God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Kobelikos preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Sergio Tran dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Tran throws a body kick but he wasn't in range. Tran is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Kobelikos can do to turn this around? Kobelikos wants to clinch. Tran attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin. A big left from Kobelikos misses. Tran scores with a three punch combo!

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. Tran shoots in for a takedown but Kobelikos shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Kobelikos changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt.

Kobelikos shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Kobelikos was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! Tran pushes Kobelikos away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Kobelikos gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control. Kobelikos trying to control the action but Tran is working from the bottom. Tran is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Tran throws Kobelikos to one side and escapes! Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Kobelikos is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Tran's half guard. Tran wants to get back to his feet. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

It looks like Sergio Tran has been cut. Kobelikos tries to bum rush Tran with a series of wild strikes but Tran uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Oh Tran is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Kobelikos tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Lambis Kobelikos seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Kobelikos looking to score a takedown here. Tran is defending well but Kobelikos drives through and ends up in Tran's guard. Tran looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Tran is looking for a triangle but Kobelikos pushes his legs off easily.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Tran is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Kobelikos is controlling him.
