The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Selassie comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.

That was a close round but I would say that Victor Selassie will probably get the nod.

This has been an exciting period of action!
Selassie shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
Selassie's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Velasquez connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Selassie scrambles back to his feet.

Selassie feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Victor Selassie.
