Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Florencio Woods (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and James Mcgrath (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Mcgrath has a pretty significant injury - he really shouldn't be fighting right now but he's a warrior and he's here none the less! This should be fireworks!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Florencio Woods! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, James Mcgrath! The judges for this bout are Ren Mimura, Yuuki Gou and Shirou Masuda.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Woods shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Mcgrath looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight! Woods takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists. Mcgrath is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Woods scores with a couple of nice shots. Woods could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Nice strikes from Woods there. Woods scoring with strikes to the body and head. Woods working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Woods is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Woods is nestled in close to Mcgrath, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure. Woods takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists. Woods has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Woods looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Mcgrath with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Woods lands a nice short elbow. Woods scores with a couple of good hammerfists. Mcgrath on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound. Woods is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position. Woods slips a nice elbow through Mcgrath's hands, connecting with Mcgrath's forehead. Mcgrath is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Woods scores with a couple of nice shots. Mcgrath has hold of Woods's hands but Woods slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow. The referee calls for the fighters to work.
