Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Elwood Black (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Clyver Secen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Secen has a niggling injury. He would have liked to come in 100% fit but that's not always possible. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Elwood Black! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Clyver Secen! The judges for this bout are Ron Honeybunn, Francis DeMontford and Summer Carpenter.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Black gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. Secen looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight! Black wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee. Black manages to break the clinch.
Black gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Secen to score an easy takedown into full guard. Secen preventing the sweep. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Black is on top in guard.
Black is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
That's one minute gone in the round. Black continues to stall.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Black lands a couple of decent looking shots. Black controls from within his opponent's guard. We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon. More hug and hope from Black.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Black tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Secen manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Secen unleashes a big counter combination but Black bobs and weaves and avoids any damage. Black gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. Secen prevents a takedown attempt there.
Black wants a takedown but no success here.
Black escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Secen closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Black to the mat! Black manages to get full guard. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Black doesn't do any damage with a couple of strikes from the bottom.

Black is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Black with a momentary lay and pray from half guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Black is working for a kimura but Secen is defending it quite comfortably.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Black keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Elwood Black dominated that round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Black is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Secen misses with a body kick. Black throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean. Secen tries to counter with a clinch but Black shakes him off and moves away. Black gets a clinch. Black breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Black fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Secen, pushing him back against the cage. Black wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee. Black could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Secen is breathing heavily. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Black is trying to break the clinch but Secen has him pressed against the cage. Black has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Secen is trying to keep an underhook but Black manages to get the takedown into half guard. Secen tries to kick Black off in order to stand up. Black Avoids the leg push though and dives into side control. Black tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
That's one minute gone in the round. A lull in the action here. Black landing a few strikes. Black controlling the position. Black has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Check out the look on Black's face as he threw that strike - that's one determined fighter!
Secen seems a little lost for a moment, as Black dominates the positioning.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Black working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. Black scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Secen to see if he's OK. Secen is trying to work for a sweep but Black has mounted him! Elwood Black overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Black controlling from the full mount.
That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Black's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! Elwood Black dominated that second round. That's time! Back to the action! This is the final round!
Black tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Secen manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. And Secen responds with a good body kick, but Black manages to step out the way in time. Black has taken the fight to the clinch.
Black is working for takedown but Secen is calmly controlling the position for now. Black tries to break the clinch but Secen is controlling the position. Black looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now. Some stalling of biblical proportions here from Black. Black breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Black gets in close and instigates a clinch. Black breaks from the clinch.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Secen keeps the fight on the outside. Secen takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Secen checks a leg kick nicely. Black rushes Secen and presses him up against the cage. Black is trying to push Secen away but Secen has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.
That's one minute gone in the round. Black tries to pull guard but Secen forces him back to his feet, against the cage. Secen has Black pressed against the cage, preventing Black from circling away and getting back to striking at range. Black jumps guard.

Black tries to land a sweep but no joy. Black looking to control.
Black throws a couple of weedy looking strikes off his back.
Black has his hands on Secen's head, controlling the position. Black throwing some rather feeble looking strikes off his back.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Black punching from the bottom - just letting Secen know he's still in a fight. We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace. Black has a closed guard, preventing Secen from standing up.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity. Black clinches with his opponent.
Black breaks the clinch.
Black tries to clinch there but Secen circles away.
Black is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Secen can do to turn this around? The fight moves into the clinch position. Black pulls Secen into guard.

That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Black blocks the strikes from Secen.
Ground and pound from Black. Secen is defending against the submission attempts here by Black.

And that's the end of the fight! Elwood Black showed his dominance in that final round. Well Black has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
