Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Shinsuke Fujita (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Norman Parke (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Norman Parke has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Shinsuke Fujita's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Shinsuke Fujita! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Norman Parke! The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, and Jack Bonds.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Fujita throws the kick towards the body but Parke avoids it. Fujita has Parke up against the cage in a clinch.
Fujita escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Parke tries to clinch but Fujita is having none of it. Fujita feinted with a counter takedown. Fujita scores with a punch to the head. Fujita darts in and clinches Parke up against the cage. Fujita swings away with an uppercut that misses.
A bit of stalling here from Parke.
Fujita fails to pull the fight into his guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Parke breaks from the clinch.
Parke tries to bum rush Fujita with a series of wild strikes but Fujita uses good footwork to avoid the assault. The fight moves into the clinch position. Fujita fails to pull the fight into his guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Fujita is trying to stall.
Fujita wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee. Parke wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee. Come on Parke - let's have some action - none of this stalling nonsense.
Parke is pressed up against the cage. Fujita has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Parke down to the mat. Parke avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Shinsuke Fujita. That's going to take a lot out of him. Parke throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Fujita on the side of the head.
It looks like Shinsuke Fujita has been cut. Parke connects with a good right hand that stumbles Fujita. Fujita circles away out of range and recomposes himself. Parke stuffs the takedown attempt from Fujita. Fujita gets slowly back to his feet. Fujita shoots in for a double leg but Parke sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Parke lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Fujita shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Parke as he avoids it easily. Fujita is breathing heavily. Excellent takedown into side control there by Parke. We've been hearing good reports from Fujita's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today. Parke stands up and we're back to a striking position. Parke forces Fujita back against the cage and clinches. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Parke gets control of Fujita's arms and successfully pulls guard. Parke will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back. Parke pulls Fujita in close to his closed guard and prevents Fujita from doing any damage or advancing position. Fujita trying to control but Parke is working from the bottom. Parke is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Parke has control of Fujita's left arm, preventing Fujita from doing any damage. Parke tries to land a sweep but no joy. Fujita trying to control but Parke is working from the bottom. Parke is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Parke has scooted to the edge of the canvas and used the cage to get back to his feet. Fujita has stuck on his opponent and is forcing him back against the cage.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Parke breaks from the clinch.
Parke lands a body shot.
Parke gets a takedown into half guard. Parke trying to control the pace. Parke is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there. Fujita has hold of Parke's hands but Parke slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Norman Parke dominated that round. The cut man is working on Shinsuke Fujita's cut. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

Parke connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe. Parke swings for the body but Fujita moves out of range.
Shinsuke Fujita is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Fujita dives in and grabs Parke's left leg, looking for a takedown. Parke pushes down on Fujita's head and hops out. Parke tries a head kick but it misses.
Parke ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Fujita moves away. Parke doesn't manage to clinch there - Fujita circles away.
Parke throws a wild combination but nothing lands. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Nice cross by Parke.
Fujita is rocked! Parke throws a hard body shot but it just misses.

and Parke counters into the clinch. Nicely done. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's one minute gone in the round. The two fighters are working to gain dominance in the clinch. Fujita tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Parke just stands there and leans against the cage. Fujita tries for a takedown but Parke manages to get underhooks.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Shinsuke Fujita. That's going to take a lot out of him. Parke lands a body shot in the clinch.

Parke keeps control of Fujita as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks. Parke holding his opponent close, against the cage.
Parke throws a hook to the body. More of an arm punch but it's all scoring with the judges.
That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Parke's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Fujita checks a leg kick. Parke closes the distance and clinches. Parke breaks the clinch.
Horrible takedown attempt by Fujita or perhaps it was just good defense by Parke, which made it look bad. Parke gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. The pace really dropping off here, momentarily. Fujita blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning. Parke has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Parke prevents Fujita from breaking the clinch. Parke pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Fujita avoids a punch combination nicely.
Parke misses with the combination.
Fujita closes this distance looking for a takedown but Parke circles away. Parke bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut. Parke changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Fujita tries to avoid it but Parke manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Fujita to the ground. Fujita escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Parke has managed to clinch.
Parke breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Parke is pawing at Fujita, trying to feel the distance before throwing out a cross that crashes into Fujita's nose. Fujita is badly hurt! Parke pounces, throwing wild strikes as both fighters end up on the ground! Fujita tries desperately to hold on but Parke is relentless in his assault! As Fujita receives an ever increasing number of unanswered strikes the referee pulls Parke away and this one is in the books!
