Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, Andres Greer! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Kevin Buttler! The judges for this bout are James Ackerman, Colin Fotheringham and Daniel Bishop.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Buttler darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. Greer could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Greer wants to get back to full guard. Buttler missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. Buttler has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Greer is looking for a sweep. Buttler is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Greer gets full guard. Buttler working some strikes from top position. Buttler is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Greer looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Buttler passes Greer's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Buttler prevents Greer from improving his position. Buttler throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Buttler is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Buttler is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Greer doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Buttler. Greer manages to get to full guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Buttler stopping the sweep attempt from Greer. Buttler forces his way into half guard. Buttler looks to score some points with some ground and pound. Buttler lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears. Buttler wants to take a breather but Greer is having none of it. Greer tries to strike from the bottom but it doesn't land. The fighters are battling for position here. Greer manages to regain full guard. Nice work. Buttler wants to control from the top but Greer keeps moving. Buttler works a leg free and moves into half guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Buttler connects with a nice short shot to Greer's temple. The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Buttler lands a nice short elbow. Buttler trying to advance position but Greer counters by regaining guard. Buttler sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Greer's guard. Greer holds on for dear life, maintaining half guard for now. Greer is staying active underneath Buttler, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Greer knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Buttler on the ground. Buttler prevents Greer from improving his position. Greer is breathing heavily. Buttler moves into full mount! Greer won't be happy about that!
That's four minutes gone in the round. Buttler with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.
Greer is wriggling around trying to escape.
Buttler looking for a guillotine from mount but Greer is having none of it. Buttler wants to finish this one by submission but Greer is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Buttler. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Buttler swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Greer is now in Buttler's guard. A big mistake from Buttler there, giving up the dominant position! The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Greer is standing up over Buttler. Buttler looks to escape but Greer dives into side control.

Kevin Buttler dominated that round. The cut man is working on Andres Greer's cut. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Buttler throws a sloppy head kick and Greer counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt. Andres Greer is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Greer throws a right and a left that Buttler avoids nicely. Buttler drives through and clinches with Greer against the cage.
Buttler pulls Greer into guard.
Greer sitting in guard, not really doing much. Buttler looking for subs off his back but Greer has passed one foot through into half guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Greer is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's one minute gone in the round. Greer is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Buttler defends it well. Buttler trying to control here.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Buttler is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Buttler gets full guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Greer is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. Buttler is looking for a triangle but Greer pushes his legs off easily.
Buttler is breathing heavily. Greer is stalling in the full guard. Buttler looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Greer might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Greer drops back looking for a leg! Buttler is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Buttler manages to kick Greer off! Greer jumps back into Buttler's guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Greer postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Buttler is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Greer, into his guard. Buttler wants to control from the top but Greer keeps moving.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Buttler passes Greer's right leg, so he's now in half guard. Greer is defending against the submission attempts here by Buttler.
Greer is looking for a sweep. Buttler is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Kevin Buttler has got the better of the ground game so far. Buttler is looking to take a break and control but Greer is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Buttler is working for a submission of some sort.

That's one minute gone in the round. Greer wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Buttler, who protects the arm well. Greer content to control the pace. The referee will try and keep them active though. Greer is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Buttler has escaped the position, nice work there. Buttler struggling a bit here.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Greer avoids the strikes from the bottom by Buttler. Greer working away. Buttler is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Greer asserts his dominance and retains side control. Greer taking a breather here. Buttler is looking to get back to his feet here but Greer is keeping cool and he's managed to take Buttler's back. Buttler wants to get back to his feet.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Greer biding his time, controlling Buttler. Buttler can't escape the position.
Buttler is trying to stand back up. Greer is working really hard to secure the rear naked choke. Buttler defends successfully for a significant amount of time. Both fighters are looking very determined.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Greer gets his hands free as Buttler looks to control. Greer is staying calm and holding on to the back position, whilst working on a rear naked choke. Buttler is defending well though. Greer let's go of the attempt for now. Greer has good solid back control here. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Greer has the hooks in. Buttler is trying to push off one leg but he has to do so cautiously to avoid being submitted.
And that's the end of the fight! Andres Greer showed his dominance in that final round. I think Buttler has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
