Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Lotus Pod (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jae Jung Kim (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these fighters had to take extra time to make weight as they missed the initial 145lb limit. Lotus Pod came in at 147.7 and Jae Jung Kim came in at 146.0 but after the extra two hours, both guys managed to get within the one pound allowance. No doubt it will have affected them physically though, so let's see if that has an impact on the fight. Lotus Pod has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Jae Jung Kim! The judges for this bout are Michael Johnstone, David Hoff and Bart Greer.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kim throws a hook but Pod avoids it easily. Pod closes the distance and clinches. Pod tries to circle away but Kim has him pinned against the cage. Kim misses with a shot to the kidneys.
Pod blocks a punch to the side of the head.
Pod tries to break the clinch but Kim is controlling the position. Pod's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Kim tries to land a front kick but Pod steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed. An attempted straight right counter from Pod misses the target. Pod tries to clinch up but Kim circles away and keeps his distance. Kim throws a sloppy head kick and Pod moves out of range easily. Pod feinted with a counter takedown. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Kim keeps the fight on the outside. Kim throws out a counter right but Pod avoids it with no problem. Pod rushes Kim and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. Pod tries to throw a body punch but Kim avoids it by throwing Pod back against the cage.

Jae Jung Kim dominated that round. The cut man is working on Lotus Pod's cut. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Pod slips under a jab from Kim. Kim misses with a looping left. Pod went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected. Kim is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Pod. Kim throws a wild body kick that Pod sees coming a mile off. Kim misses with a hook.

Kim has been the more effective fighter overall so far. A body shot lands from Kim.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Sloppy strikes from Pod. Those never looked like landing. Kim throws a quick head kick that knocks Pod silly! This fight is all over! What a finish! Kim is up on the cage, taking in the applause from the crowd.
