Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Cenk John (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Akim Aleesio (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 1, fighting out of The Island, Cenk John!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Akim Aleesio!
The judges for this bout are David Hoff, Winston Alpacca and Santiago Holmes.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
John misses with a takedown attempt - Aleesio sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

John has managed to clinch.
Aleesio swings away with an uppercut that misses.
John stalling.
John lands a good knee to the midsection. Aleesio won't want to take too many of those.
A nice glancing elbow lands by John.
John wants to break free but Aleesio has control.

John drags the fight down to the ground.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Aleesio is stalling in the full guard.

John has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Aleesio can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
John wants to sweep but no luck.

Aleesio is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
John is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
John darts in trying to clinch
and John takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.

John gets a clinch.
Aleesio lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of John backwards.

John breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
John has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from John there as he acknowledges the shot.

John throws a feint and then finishes with a kick to the body.
Aleesio scores with a hook to the body. John takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
John fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Good exchange - Aleesio coming out on top.
