Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Nick Bako (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Chris Brikowski (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Brikowski has chosen The Dark Eternal Night as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Nick Bako! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Chris Brikowski! The judges for this bout are George Francis, Alan Glass and Daniel Franklin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Bako shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Brikowski's guard. Brikowski thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Brikowski can do anything to dispel that myth. Brikowski looking for a sweep. Not yet Brikowski, not yet. Brikowski looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Bako puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Bako lands strikes from half guard. Brikowski tries to roll over but Bako keeps him under control. Brikowski is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. Bako seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense. Brikowski moves into full guard.
Brikowski can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Bako controls the pace. Bako trying to control the position from guard on top but Brikowski is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Brikowski throws a couple of shots from the bottom but they don't land.
That's one minute gone in the round. Brikowski pulls Bako in to control the position. Bako preventing the sweep. Bako decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow. Bako scores with a takedown into Brikowski's guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Bako stays in close to Brikowski's body and controls the position. Brikowski has a closed guard, preventing Bako from standing up. Brikowski trying to keep a closed guard but Bako is proving a slippery customer.
Bako preventing the sweep. Bako looking to pass the guard. Bako won't allow Brikowski to sweep him here. Brikowski really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Bako. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Nice takedown defense from Brikowski. No joy for Bako on that attempt. Bako circles away from the clinch attempt.
Bako has a takedown stuffed. Brikowski keeps the fight on the outside. Brikowski moves into the clinch successfully.
Bako is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but Brikowski is keeping busy. Bako scores with a nice hook to the head. Brikowski lands a nice elbow from the clinch. Brikowski wants to get back to striking at distance but Bako won't allow it.
Brikowski lands a right hand. Bako misses with a hook from the clinch. Bako tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage. Bako wants to break free but Brikowski has control.
Bako is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but Brikowski is keeping busy. Bako is breathing heavily. Bako has had enough of the clinch but Brikowski keeps him there for the moment. Brikowski softening up his opponent with strikes, against the cage. Brikowski scores with a shot to the side of Bako's head. Brikowski changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Bako fights it off and pushes away nicely.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Bako misses with a takedown attempt - Brikowski sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Nick Bako. That's going to take a lot out of him. Bako keeps the fight on the outside. No joy there for Brikowski, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Bako shoots in and drives through. Brikowski sprawls well. Brikowski tries to clinch up and Bako counters with a nice body shot. Brikowski tries to clinch but Bako moves away and Bako counters with a two punch combo. Brikowski is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Brikowski closes the distance and clinches. Brikowski wants the takedown. Bako is fighting it off but Brikowski persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Bako's guard against the cage. Brikowski loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Brikowski lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard. Bako bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Brikowski's guard. Brikowski tries to land a sweep but no joy. Bako wants to control from the top but Brikowski keeps moving.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Brikowski wants to sweep but no luck. Bako scoring with punches to the head and body.

Brikowski tries to clinch up. Bako shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Brikowski but Brikowski pushes him off and we're back to square one. The fight stays on the outside here - Brikowski looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Chris Brikowski is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Brikowski tries to clinch up. Bako throws a big overhand right that connects, sending Brikowski tumbling to the canvas!
Brikowski is rocked! Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Bako advances to half guard. Brikowski is still in real trouble! Can Bako finish him? Bako decides to stand and escape the position. Bako connects with a stiff jab that staggers Brikowski - oh and he follows up with a huge uppercut that knocks him out cold! Man, that was brutal!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:59 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Nick Bako!
