Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Brady Michael (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Adam Hayes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Adam Hayes will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Brady Michael!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Adam Hayes!
The judges for this bout are Damien Edna, Bruno Hogan and John Mangel.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Michael fails with the takedown
and Hayes counters with a stiff right hand.
Michael tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Michael is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Hayes.

Michael tries to keep at a distance but Hayes has taken the fight into the clinch.
Michael drops down looking for an ankle pick but Hayes pulls his leg out and moves away.

Michael clinches.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Michael tries to work over Hayes's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.
Michael jumps guard but Hayes stands there with Michael around his waist. Michael gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Brady Michael. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Hayes prevents a takedown attempt there.
Michael tries to pull guard but Hayes forces him back to his feet, against the cage.
Michael has Hayes pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Hayes manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.
Michael trying to control the position but instead, Hayes has worked for underhooks and has pushed Michael into the cage.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Michael is working for takedown but Hayes is calmly controlling the position for now.
Michael wants to take the fight to the mat but Hayes manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.

Michael has a couple of punches blocked by Hayes.

Hayes breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Michael is looking to take this fight into the clinch.

Hayes has managed to clinch.
We've been informed that Hayes has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight.
Hayes has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.
Michael struggles to land a body shot inside as Hayes controls his hands.
Michael is trying to pull guard but Hayes turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Hayes lands an uppercut.
Hayes stops a takedown attempt from Michael.
Michael could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Hayes stalling in the clinch.
Michael tries to pull guard but Hayes won't allow it.
Michael tries to stall but Hayes uses the opportunity to gain a better position.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Hayes is defending well against a takedown attempt.

Hayes pulls Michael into guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Adam Hayes dominated that round.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.


Hayes scores with a jab to the head.

Michael gets caught napping as Hayes dives in and scores a takedown. Michael manages to retain guard.
Hayes looking to sit in guard and control but Michael gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Hayes wants to get back to his feet but Michael is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

Hayes has momentary wrist control but Michael slips an elbow through the middle.
Hayes has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.

Michael stops Hayes from standing up.
Hayes is pulling down on Michael's head to control his posture.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Michael's corner. There ya go! There ya go!
Michael distracts Hayes with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.
Michael in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
Hayes preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
Hayes is pulling down on Michael's head. It's preventing any offense from Michael, at least for the moment.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Michael throws a big right hand that misses.
Michael is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.
Michael throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Hayes works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Hayes is trying to control the position but Michael postures up.

Hayes is adopting a defensive guard.

Michael has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Michael postures up in Hayes's guard and throws a big left but Hayes blocks it.

Hayes wants to stand and escape but Michael is having none of it.
Hayes is breathing heavily.

Michael stands up over Hayes, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.

Hayes uses the cage to get back to his feet.
Adam Hayes seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Hayes shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Michael napping and manages to drive through into side control!

Michael sneaks out the side door and pushes Hayes away - he's back to his feet. The crowd show their appreciation for the escape.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Michael wants to clinch up but Hayes keeps it at a distance.
Michael darts in looking for a takedown but Hayes gets double underhooks and turns Michael into the cage.

Hayes's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Hayes swats away the attempt to clinch by Michael.
Hayes tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Michael is able to avoid easily.
Michael shoots in for a takedown but Hayes shows good takedown defense.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Brady Michael. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Hayes rushes Michael and presses him up against the cage.
A right hook to the body lands for Hayes.
Michael is trying to pull guard but Hayes turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close second round but I would say that Brady Michael will probably get the nod.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!



Hayes moves into range and clinches up with Michael.
Hayes is pressed up against the cage. Michael has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Hayes down to the mat. Hayes avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Hayes tries a low kick but Michael avoids it.
Michael throws a counter high kick but Hayes was just alert enough to avoid it.
Brady Michael is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
A cross from Hayes lands.
Hayes fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
Michael takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.

Hayes rushes Michael and presses him up against the cage.
Michael is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Hayes is defending well for now.
Adam Hayes seems to be working more effectively in the clinch in the fight so far.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Hayes lands a hook to the side of the head.


Michael is rocked!
Michael doesn't land with the attempted body shot.
Oh Michael is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

Hayes successfully pulls guard.
Hayes controlling the position.
Both fighters have adopted an aggressive gameplan on the ground!

Hayes uses the cage to get back to his feet.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Michael misses with a takedown
and Hayes makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Michael leaves his chin hanging out and Hayes seizes the opportunity with an uppercut! Michael crumbles to the floor in a heap! The referee steps in and tends to the downed fighter! What a knockout!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:07 of round 3, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Adam Hayes!
Adam Hayes decided to thank the fans in attendance for making a great atmosphere. It seemed to go down pretty well.
