The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Banderez forces Sellers back against the cage and clinches.

Sellers pulls Banderez into guard.

Sellers is working an open guard so Banderez takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.
Sellers slips under a jab from Banderez.
Sellers drops down looking for a counter takedown but Banderez sprawls and moves away.
Banderez throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Sellers looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.

Sellers gets tackled into the cage by Banderez. Banderez maintains the clinch.
Sellers tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Banderez putting his Muay Thai to good use. He has Sellers in a tight clinch and is doing some damage with knees to the body.
Banderez misses with a knee strike.
Banderez dodges an elbow strike from Sellers.
Banderez lands a nice elbow from the clinch.


It looks like Brett Sellers has been cut.

Sellers breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Banderez has a takedown stuffed.

Sellers gets tackled into the cage by Banderez. Banderez maintains the clinch.
Sellers tries to pull guard but Banderez won't allow it.
Banderez comes over the top with an elbow. That landed flush.

Sellers pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Nice uppercut lands for Banderez. That snapped Sellers's head back.
Banderez fails with a takedown attempt.
Sellers appears to be looking for a counter takedown.

Banderez clinches up against the cage.
Sellers tries to score a body lock takedown but Banderez shows good agility there to stay on his feet.

Sellers wants to take the fight to the mat but Banderez manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.

Banderez throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Sellers blocks it with crossed arms.

Banderez clinches up with Sellers and pushes him back against the cage.

Banderez decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
Sellers stuffs the takedown attempt from Banderez. Banderez gets slowly back to his feet.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Banderez moves into range and clinches up with Sellers.
Sellers jumps guard but Banderez turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.
Sellers will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Banderez up against the cage.

Sellers escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Banderez shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Sellers napping and manages to drive through into side control!

Sellers sneaks out the side door and pushes Banderez away - he's back to his feet. The crowd show their appreciation for the escape.
Sellers is breathing heavily.
Banderez tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.

and Sellers counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Banderez pushes Sellers off and gets back to his feet.
Sellers looks for the body kick but Banderez saw that one coming.

Banderez has closed the distance and engaged Sellers in a clinch.
Sellers is trying to pull guard but Banderez has him pressed against the cage.
We've been informed that Banderez has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight.
Banderez gets an overhook and lands an elbow to the side of the head.
Banderez is trying to wear down his opponent with knees to the body.
Banderez looks to throw an elbow but misses.

The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Banderez moves into range and clinches up with Sellers.
Banderez creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through Sellers's defenses.

Banderez manages to pull guard.

Sellers prevents Banderez from getting back to his feet.
Brett Sellers overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Banderez pulls Sellers in close to prevent any damage.
Let's hope that Banderez has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
Banderez is continuing to stall.
Banderez throws some sloppy strikes off his back.

Banderez isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Sellers stacks Banderez on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Sellers!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Banderez is looking to slip a leg under and get half guard but Sellers is one step ahead and moves to full mount!
Sellers has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Banderez's face.
Banderez is looking to improve his position but Sellers isn't that keen on the idea.
Banderez tries to lock up and control but Sellers gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Banderez is arching his back trying to strike from the bottom but Sellers turns him over and now has his back.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Banderez is trying to get back to his feet but he's not managed it yet.

A close second round but Ricardo Banderez will probably get the nod - 10:9.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Sellers is on top in guard.

Banderez is trying to get back to his feet but Sellers has full control of the position and if anything, Banderez has just worked his way into a worse spot.
Banderez looks to control his opponent's hands but he's not mananging it at the moment.
Sellers is hanging on to Banderez's back as he tries to escape.
Ricardo Banderez is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
