Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between The Bong (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Shakhbulat Shamkhalaev (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Bong comes to the cage accompanied by Hits From The Bong by Cypress Hill. Shamkhalaev has chosen CoCo (MAKJ Remix) - O.T. Genasis as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Shakhbulat Shamkhalaev acknowledges the crowd's support as he enters the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
6 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, The Bong! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
7 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Shakhbulat Shamkhalaev! The judges for this bout are Dean Styles, Anthony Taglia and Joseph Jones.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Shamkhalaev moves in looking to clinch but Bong pushes him off. Shamkhalaev fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Bong, pushing him back against the cage. Shamkhalaev prevents a takedown attempt there.
Bong wants a takedown.

It looks like The Bong has been cut. Nice elbow from Shamkhalaev. Shamkhalaev throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Bongs head. Shamkhalaev lands a damaging elbow. The Bong's cut is bleeding quite badly. He's got to try and protect it. Bong is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Shamkhalaev can't fight it off and eventually Bong manages to take the fight to the floor. Shamkhalaev looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard. Bong trying to control the position from guard on top but Shamkhalaev is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. We've been hearing good reports from Bong's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today. Shamkhalaev can't keep his opponent in guard - Bong advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount. Bong controlling the action here. Bong is pressing down on Shamkhalaev's thigh, looking to free his foot. Shamkhalaev is holding on for now. Bong wants to control but Shamkhalaev is keeping him busy. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Bong wants to pass the guard but Shamkhalaev is defending well. Bong is working hard here to advance position. Shamkhalaev really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Bong. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Bong is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.

Shamkhalaev kicks Bong off and gets back to his feet. Bong throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Shamkhalaev cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Bong changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Shamkhalaev looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Shamkhalaev bucks up and manages to escape back to his feet!
That's four minutes gone in the round. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Shamkhalaev closes the distance and clinches. Bong trying to control the position but instead, Shamkhalaev has worked for underhooks and has pushed Bong into the cage. Bong is looking to control Shamkhalaev's arms but Shamkhalaev gets an underhook and turns him. Now Bong has his back to the cage. Bong looking to slow down the pace here. Shamkhalaev scores with a nice hook to the head. Shamkhalaev lands a glancing elbow in the clinch. Shamkhalaev scores with a shot to the side of Bong's head. Bong holding his opponent close, against the cage.
Shamkhalaev lands with a short head shot on the inside. Shamkhalaev tries a knee to the head but he's missed.
A quick uppercut on the inside from Shamkhalaev. Shamkhalaev blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning. Bong has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Shamkhalaev is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for The Bong. That's going to take a lot out of him. Shamkhalaev lands a shoulder strike. Shamkhalaev connects with a knee to the head.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Shakhbulat Shamkhalaev dominated that round. The cut man is working on The Bong's cut. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

Bong has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Shamkhalaev is trying to keep an underhook but Bong manages to get the takedown into half guard. Bong is trying to work for a kimura but Shamkhalaev is defending well.

The Bong overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Bong throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Bong is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.

That's one minute gone in the round. Bong works his foot free and advances to mount. Bong lands a big elbow. Bong takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Bong wants to control but Shamkhalaev has made it back to half guard. Nice work. Bong is figuring out what he wants to do next. Shamkhalaev wants to get back to his feet.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Bong is looking to take a break and control but Shamkhalaev is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Bong is looking for a kimura but Shamkhalaev is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Bong to get the leverage. Shamkhalaev kicks Bong off and gets back to his feet. Shamkhalaev misses with a straight left. Shakhbulat Shamkhalaev seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Shamkhalaev moves into range and clinches up with Bong. Come on Bong - let's have some action - none of this stalling nonsense.

Jeez, The Bong's cut is really nasty now. The referee must be thinking about getting that checked. Bong has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Shamkhalaev after a bit of a struggle. Shamkhalaev lands a nice elbow from the clinch.
The referee calls the doctor in to look at The Bong's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:33 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Cut). Shakhbulat Shamkhalaev! An out of breath and clearly excited Shakhbulat Shamkhalaev thanked Mohito Fightwear for their help and support (and free stuff they sent him). The Bong spoke after the fight, saying 'Obviously, my opponent is on the juice... I demand a full investigation into this travesty... This aggression WILL NOT stand!'.
