Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

39 - 17 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Cristiano Nascimento!
The judges for this bout are Ren Mimura, Kenichi Hosakawa and Taro Takaoka.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Archer throws a low kick but Nascimento avoids it.
Nascimento looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.
Nascimento throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Cristiano Nascimento seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Archer lands a nice shot that snaps Nascimento's head back.
Nascimento fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Archer has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
Archer takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Nascimento bobs and weaves and then throws a good body kick.
Archer walks into a jab.
It looks like Mason Archer has been cut.
Nascimento lands a big head kick that sends Archer tumbling to the mat! Nascimento takes a step backwards and waves Archer back to his feet - he wants the finish!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Nascimento throws a body kick that misses
and Archer counters with a left and a right that stings Nascimento.
Nascimento delivers a nice body kick.
Nascimento gets a clinch.
Nascimento's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Nascimento swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Nascimento cracks a nice hook into Archer's ribs.
Nascimento cracks Archer with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Nascimento has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Archer to stand back up!
Archer is rocked!
A nice inside leg kick there by Nascimento. That's going to slow Archer down.
Nascimento cracks Archer with a nasty uppercut that draws ooohs from the crowd and sends Archer tumbling backwards onto the mat. He tries to recover but Nascimento pounces and lands a hail of unanswered strikes that forces the referee to step in to end the fight! Archer is not happy but he gave the referee no choice!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:23 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Cristiano Nascimento! Cristiano Nascimento retains his light heavyweight title!
Cristiano Nascimento bigged himself up after the win. The crowd seemed to love it.
