Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Great Cornholio (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Musta Surma (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Cornholio comes to the ring accompanied by Cornholio MegaMix. Both fighters look pumped up here. Let's hope this is a good fight!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 21 - 17 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Great Cornholio!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 29 - 24 - 1, fighting out of Tokyo, Musta Surma!
The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Yamamoto, Sosuke Kotani and Yukihiro Shimada.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Surma darts in and clinches Cornholio up against the ropes.
Cornholio blocks the elbow strike.

Cornholio jumps guard.

Cornholio looking for a guillotine here but Surma defends easily.

Cornholio throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Surma escapes and throws Cornholio's legs to the side, diving into side control!
Cornholio tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Surma wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Surma passes to full mount! That's big trouble for Cornholio!

Cornholio is wriggling around trying to escape.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
Surma tries to control but Cornholio wriggling away.
Surma avoids the attempt from Cornholio to control.
Cornholio has improved his flexibility recently so we will have to see if he can use that to his advantage.
Cornholio holds on for dear life, controlling Surma's posture momentarily.
Cornholio tries to lock up and control but Surma gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Surma breaks from Cornholio's wrist control and lands an elbow.
Surma postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Cornholio looks a forlorn figure.
Surma takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
Cornholio tries to lock up and control but Surma gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Cornholio wants to hold on but Surma pushes him away.
Cornholio swinging wildly from the bottom but he's not landing.
Cornholio regains half guard.
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.
Cornholio is looking for a sweep. Surma is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Cornholio is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Surma pulls his head out easily.

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Cornholio wants to improve his position but Surma is controlling well.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.

Cornholio dives in and scores a takedown into Surma's guard.
Surma manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Cornholio manages to get himself to full guard.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Surma rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Cornholio moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

It looks like Musta Surma has been cut.
Surma tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Cornholio avoids it.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Surma lands an elbow that stopped Cornholio in his tracks for a moment.
Surma misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Cornholio.
Cornholio tries a knee to the head but he's missed.
With the two fighters working up against the ropes, Surma just misses with a elbow thrown towards Cornholio's brow.

Surma throws a hook to the body. More of an arm punch but it's all scoring with the judges.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Cornholio jumps guard but Surma turns him against the ropes and keeps the fight standing.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Cornholio tries to pull guard but Surma forces him back to his feet, against the ropes.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Great Cornholio. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Cornholio escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Surma rushes Cornholio and pushes him back against the ropes in a clinch.
Surma misses with an elbow over the top.
Surma blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning.

Surma has been looking to improve his clinch game in recent weeks. Cornholio seems to have the measure of him in the clinch so far, so let's see if Surma can turn it around.

Surma gets an overhook and lands an elbow to the side of the head.
Cornholio has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Surma is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.

Surma has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Cornholio avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Cornholio has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Surma is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Cornholio.

Surma wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Cornholio, who protects the arm well.
Cornholio is looking to regain half guard here but Surma keeps moving and retains side control.

Musta Surma showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

That's time! Cornholio's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!

Cornholio escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Surma misses with a double jab.
Cornholio shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Surma as he jumps to the side.

Surma takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.

Cornholio decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Surma holds on for dear life, maintaining half guard for now.
Cornholio looks to land a strike but Surma avoids it nicely and regains full guard.

Cornholio sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.
Cornholio is refusing to be controlled, as Surma sits in half guard.

And that's the end of the fight!
That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Great Cornholio.
Well Surma has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

Musta Surma spent the whole post fight interview bigging himself up. It didn't go down that well with the fans after a while as they thought it was a bit arrogant.
