Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Alexandr Nikitin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Justin Hall (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Nikitin might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Smack My Bitch Up . Justin Hall acknowledges the crowd's support as he enters the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A good leg kick by Hall.
Nikitin throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Hall looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.
Hall scores with a nice strike.
Nikitin misses with a jab to the body

and Hall counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Hall.

Hall avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Hall trying to control but Nikitin is working from the bottom.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Nikitin not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

Nikitin wants to sweep but no luck.
Hall must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Hall takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life.

Hall lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards.

Hall escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Hall is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.
Nikitin is trying to control the action in half guard but Hall is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
Nikitin seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.

Nikitin is just content to waste time from the top position. Hall takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard.

Hall has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Nikitin can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Nikitin is looking to work some ground and pound but Hall has wrist control.
Nikitin slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
Nikitin tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it.
Hall regains half guard there - taking advantage of Nikitin's attempt to lay and pray for a moment.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
We've been hearing that Nikitin has been drilling a lot of ground and pound in training, so let's see if he get the finish.
Nikitin has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Hall is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Nikitin pulls his head out easily.
Nikitin content to control rather than advance.
Nikitin is keen to just control but Hall is a slippery customer.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.

Nikitin misses the shot to the body.
Hall was about to counter that last move with a leg kick but changes his mind.
Hall lands the left hand.
Nikitin avoids the head kick by Hall.
Nikitin throws a shot to the body.
Hall moves away from the strike by Nikitin.
Nikitin misses with a hook
and Hall counters with a nice uppercut.
Nikitin throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Nikitin takes a swing at Hall's ribcage but misses.
The fight stays on the outside here - Nikitin looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Alexandr Nikitin seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Nikitin misses with a few strikes there.
A little jabbing left from Hall on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.
Hall lands with a straight right. Nikitin didn't see that one coming.
Nikitin throws a right and a left that both miss.

And that's the end of the fight!
I would just about give that final round to Justin Hall.
I think Hall has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
