PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Sixx Gunnz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Donny McTavish (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Gunnz kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is War by Hed Pe. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Sixx Gunnz!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Donny McTavish!
The judges for this bout are , Frank Antenori and Don Winkell.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McTavish throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Gunnz could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
McTavish uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Gunnz.
McTavish throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

Gunnz moves into the clinch.
McTavish is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.
McTavish is trying to break free.
McTavish swings wildly with an uppercut but Gunnz uses good head movement to avoid it.
Gunnz keeps control of McTavish as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
McTavish has had enough of the clinch but Gunnz keeps him there for the moment.
McTavish misses with a shot to the kidneys.
A nice left hand lands by Gunnz.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Gunnz has McTavish pressed against the cage, preventing McTavish from circling away and getting back to striking at range.

Gunnz breaks from the clinch.
McTavish looks to land a right hand but Gunnz moved out of range.
McTavish uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Gunnz.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Gunnz.

McTavish is trying to push Gunnz away but Gunnz has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.
McTavish has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.
Gunnz tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. McTavish just stands there and leans against the cage.
McTavish can't break the clinch.
McTavish wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.

Gunnz pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
McTavish jabbing away but nothing is landing.
McTavish looks to land a left hand but Gunnz moved out of range nicely.
Gunnz looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio.
Gunnz shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. McTavish defends it nicely.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Sixx Gunnz. That's going to take a lot out of him.

McTavish connects with a looping right hand.
Gunnz slips a straight right by McTavish.
McTavish misses with a hook. Gunnz ducked under it nicely.
McTavish missing with a left hand there. Gunnz was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.

Gunnz throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
McTavish throws a series of punches but Gunnz moves out of range.
McTavish throws a lazy right hand but Gunnz sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
McTavish throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Gunnz stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
McTavish misses with a combination
and Gunnz counters with a series of strikes. McTavish will be more careful next time no doubt.
Gunnz keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from McTavish.

McTavish cracks Gunnz with an open hand slap.
McTavish lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

Gunnz darts in looking for a takedown but McTavish gets double underhooks and turns Gunnz into the cage.
Gunnz is breathing heavily.
McTavish misses with an uppercut.
Gunnz tries to counter by moving into the clinch but McTavish manages to circle out of the way.
Gunnz moves out of range of the strikes.
McTavish looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Donny McTavish is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Gunnz tries to clinch up but McTavish circles away and keeps his distance.
McTavish might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable.

McTavish drops Gunnz with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Gunnz looks back up at him and smiles so McTavish waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.


It looks like Sixx Gunnz has been cut.

McTavish misses with a straight left.
McTavish throws out a powerful jab.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Gunnz doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
McTavish throws an overhand right that lands on Gunnz's shoulder, as Gunnz tries to avoid the shot.
Gunnz was looking to counter that last move with a shot to the body but he didn't commit.
McTavish scores with a jab to the head.
McTavish connects with a looping right hand.


Gunnz is rocked!
McTavish throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
McTavish with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Gunnz to score with a decent uppercut.
Gunnz bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
McTavish is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Gunnz had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into pâté.

McTavish fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Gunnz on the side of the head.

McTavish lands a big right hand that sends Gunnz crashing to the mat! McTavish stays standing though and waves Gunnz back to his feet!
Oh Gunnz is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Gunnz ducks under a wild hook from McTavish.
Gunnz seems to have got his legs back now.
McTavish waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Gunnz.
As McTavish backs away, Gunnz returns fire with a leg kick that just misses.
McTavish pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
McTavish misses with a two punch combination.
Gunnz ducks right into an uppercut from McTavish.
Gunnz blocks a jab.
Gunnz doesn't manage to clinch there - McTavish circles away.
Gunnz bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.

McTavish feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Gunnz sprawling to the canvas! Gunnz rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can McTavish finish him?!
McTavish cracks Gunnz with a brutal left hook that knocks him out cold! This one is over in a flash! Game over!
