Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Stirling Mortlock (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mickey Blue (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Stirling Mortlock has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Stirling Mortlock!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Mickey Blue!
The judges for this bout are Bart Greer, Peter Branson and David Hoff.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mortlock wants to clinch up but Blue keeps it at a distance.
Blue avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
As Mortlock backs off Blue throws a huge counter combo but Mortlock manages to avoid it all.

Blue clinches up against the cage.
Mortlock tries to stall but Blue uses the opportunity to gain a better position.
Mortlock doesn't land with the attempted body shot.
Mortlock misses with a hook from the clinch.
Blue is leaning against Mortlock and scores with a nice uppercut to the body.
A nice left hand lands by Blue.

Blue breaks the clinch.
Mortlock moves in looking to clinch but Blue pushes him off.
Blue looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.

Mortlock gets tackled into the cage by Blue. Blue maintains the clinch.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Blue is on top in guard.

Blue not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
Blue's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.

Mortlock tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.
Mortlock's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button!

Blue jumps guard and drags Mortlock to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.

Mortlock wants to stand but Blue has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
Mortlock wants to stand and escape but instead Blue has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.

Blue stays in close to Mortlock's body and controls the position.
Mortlock wants to stand but Blue is controlling the position.
Blue engaging in some classic timewasting tactics.
Mortlock is striking but Blue is not phased and passes to half guard.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Mortlock wants to get back to his feet.
Blue perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
Mortlock is looking to escape.

Mortlock tries to kick Blue off but Blue keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.

Blue rushes Mortlock and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.

Despite the aggression on Blue's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter.
Blue tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Mortlock defends well and Blue ends up having to push Mortlock into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.

An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Mortlock.
Mortlock using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Blue has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.
Blue avoids a wild elbow strike from Mortlock.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
A head punch on the inside from Mortlock fails to land.
Mickey Blue seems to be working more effectively in the clinch in the fight so far.

Blue pulls guard.
Blue bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Mortlock's guard.

Blue controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
Blue works a leg free and moves into half guard.

Mortlock is trying to stand back up but Blue is controlling him

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Mortlock wants to hold on but Blue pushes him away.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.

Mickey Blue showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

Mortlock is looking to control Blue's arms but Blue gets an underhook and turns him. Now Mortlock has his back to the cage.

Blue jumps guard.
Blue thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage.

Mortlock wants to stand but Blue has a closed guard, so he can't escape.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Blue is on top in guard.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Let's hope that Blue has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

Well Blue has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
