Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Francesco Jordan! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Bjorn Vidarrsson! The judges for this bout are Arvi Lind, Johanna Lukiainen and Marco Blurström.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Vidarrsson rushes Jordan and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. Vidarrsson gets control of Jordan's arms and successfully pulls guard. Vidarrsson will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back. Jordan really is a fat lump. Jordan postures up in Vidarrsson's guard and throws a big left but Vidarrsson blocks it. Vidarrsson has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Jordan can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Jordan thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Jordan postures up.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Jordan stands up from Vidarrsson's guard - Jordan perhaps looking for a knockout. Vidarrsson is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Jordan's half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Jordan is trying is best to control the position here. Jordan has hold of Vidarrsson's hands but Vidarrsson slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow. Jordan trying to control from the bottom.
Jordan looks like he's trying to stand up.
Vidarrsson wants to take a breather but Jordan is having none of it. Vidarrsson looks to score some points with some ground and pound. Jordan is trying to stand back up but Vidarrsson is controlling him
Vidarrsson seems to be looking for submissions.
Jordan kicks Vidarrsson off and gets back to his feet. Vidarrsson misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
As Vidarrsson looks to move away, Jordan throws a big counter combo but Vidarrsson just gets out of the way.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Vidarrsson clinches with his opponent.
A right hook to the body lands for Vidarrsson.
Vidarrsson jumps guard and drags Jordan to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Vidarrsson is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Vidarrsson looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Jordan drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Jordan jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Vidarrsson looking for a guillotine here but Jordan defends easily.
Jordan is looking to work some ground and pound but Vidarrsson has wrist control.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Vidarrsson wants to control but instead he gets his guard passed and Jordan is now in half guard. Vidarrsson pushes Jordan off looking to stand but Jordan dives back in and keeps control.
Jordan seems like he's working for an arm triangle here. He's freed his trapped foot and he's rotating nicely. Vidarrsson is in big trouble! He's tapping out! This one is aaaaaaaaaaaall over!
