Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Victor Gregorivich (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mick Lenny (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Gregorivich comes into the arena with The Pot blaring out of the sound system. Mick Lenny will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 10 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Victor Gregorivich!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Mick Lenny!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Cesar, Seu Braga and Thiago Cunha.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gregorivich shoots in for a takedown but Lenny shows good takedown defense.
Gregorivich tries a head kick but it misses.
A cross from Lenny lands.


It looks like Victor Gregorivich has been cut.
Gregorivich looks for a takedown but Lenny sprawls well.
Gregorivich on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.
A right-left combo lands from Lenny.
Gregorivich tries to close the distance and clinch but Lenny swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Lenny throws a lazy right hand but Gregorivich sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Gregorivich tries to clinch but Lenny is having none of it.

Gregorivich shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Lenny's guard.
Lenny really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Gregorivich. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Gregorivich trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Gregorivich slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
Gregorivich passes easily into side control. Nice work.

The ground and pound from Gregorivich seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent.
Lenny wants to get back to his feet but Gregorivich drags him back down.
Lenny is not content to let Gregorivich control the position.

Gregorivich tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Gregorivich has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Gregorivich tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
Gregorivich throws a strike aimed at the side of Lenny's head but Lenny avoids it well.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Gregorivich is looking to take a break and control but Lenny is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Lenny tries to strike from the bottom but misses.

Gregorivich is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Lenny knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
Gregorivich fails to land a wild elbow strike.

Gregorivich is trying to get an arm triangle but Lenny is defending well.

Gregorivich is breathing heavily.
Lenny is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Gregorivich is controlling him well.

Gregorivich wants to lay and pray for a moment but Lenny keeps working.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Gregorivich has knee on belly and now moves to full mount! Trouble for Lenny!

Gregorivich working for a submission but Lenny is keeping him at bay.
Lenny sneaks a leg under to get to half guard.
Gregorivich has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount.

Gregorivich looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead.
Gregorivich trying to control but Lenny is having none of it.
Gregorivich looking to finish with strikes here!

Gregorivich wants to control the pace but Lenny is squirming around nicely.
Lenny keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Gregorivich pushing the pace here, looking to move to his opponents back and work for a finish.
Gregorivich lands with some strikes.

Gregorivich working to secure an arm triangle but it's not happening for him just yet.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Lenny is desperately trying to improve his position but Gregorivich has a good base and remains in mount.
Lenny wants to control but Gregorivich is having none of it.
Lenny is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Victor Gregorivich will probably get the nod.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.


Lenny connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
Lenny stalks Gregorivich and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Gregorivich's face. Gregorivich staggers backwards, shaken.
Lenny lands a two punch combo.
Lenny lands an overhand right.
Lenny throws an overhand right from the outside, which connects and sends Gregorivich stumbling backwards into the cage! Gregorivich bounces back off the cage towards Lenny, who cracks him with a two punch combination that drops him to his knees! Lenny lands two more shots before the referee has chance to intervene - what a finish! Lenny celebrates with his corner as the crowd cheer loudly.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:33 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Mick Lenny!
