Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Chad Oneil (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lambis Kobelikos (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Chad Oneil! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Lambis Kobelikos! The judges for this bout are Damien Edna, Ben Hemmingworth and Ben Watson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kobelikos tries for a takedown but Oneil sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Oneil closes this distance looking for a takedown but Kobelikos circles away. A countering left hand to the body from Kobelikos misses. Kobelikos misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Oneil.
Kobelikos dives in for a single leg takedown but Oneil sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage. A lazy body kick from Kobelikos and Oneil counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body. Kobelikos shoots and misses and Oneil counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Chad Oneil has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Lambis Kobelikos. Kobelikos looks winded! Kobelikos gets tackled into the cage by Oneil. Oneil maintains the clinch. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Oneil pulls Kobelikos into guard.
Oneil is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage. Oneil is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. Kobelikos is looking to work some ground and pound but Oneil has wrist control.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Oneil managing to control the position. Kobelikos loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Oneil pushes Kobelikos off and scrambles back to his feet.

As Kobelikos looks to move away, Oneil throws a big counter combo but Kobelikos just gets out of the way. Oneil shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Kobelikos pinned against the cage. Kobelikos gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Oneil shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Oneil showed some decent athleticism there.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Oneil missing with the ground and pound from half guard. Oneil lands strikes from half guard. Oneil will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Oneil wants to stand but his hand is trapped. Kobelikos uses the opportunity to regain full guard. Kobelikos seems keen to control Oneil's posture. Oneil working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Oneil gets to his feet. Kobelikos looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son! Kobelikos tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Oneil swivels and escapes. Kobelikos tries to clinch but Oneil is having none of it. Kobelikos goes for a double leg but Oneil avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Oneil continues to drive forward. Kobelikos misses with a takedown and Oneil counters into the clinch. Nicely done. Oneil fails to pull guard.

Oneil is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Kobelikos's half guard. Kobelikos manages to escape and get back to his feet! And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Oneil is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Kobelikos can do to turn this around? Oneil is looking to escape. Oneil is looking for a sweep. Kobelikos is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Kobelikos seems to be working for a kimura but Oneil defends the submission attempt. Kobelikos not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. Oneil pushes Kobelikos off looking to stand but Kobelikos dives back in and keeps control.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Kobelikos trying to control from half guard but Oneil is working away. We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup. Oneil is trying to stand up here but Kobelikos is controlling him well.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close second round but Lambis Kobelikos will probably get the nod - 10:9. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!

It's a sloppy attempt though and Oneil jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Kobelikos pulls Oneil in close to his closed guard and prevents Oneil from doing any damage or advancing position. Oneil is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Kobelikos is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Kobelikos has escaped and now he's on top!
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Kobelikos stops Oneil from standing up.
And that's the end of the fight! I would just about give that final round to Lambis Kobelikos. I think Kobelikos has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
