Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
7 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Etan Seeman! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
6 - 5 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Svyatoslav Vakarchuk! The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Robert Twigg and Wesley Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Seeman throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd. We've been told by Seeman's head coaches at Miletich Xtreme Fighting Systems that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight. Seeman waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Vakarchuk. Vakarchuk misses with a takedown attempt - Seeman sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Seeman scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one.
It looks like Svyatoslav Vakarchuk has been cut. Seeman misses with a leg kick and Vakarchuk counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Vakarchuk throws an elbow that misses. Seeman uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Vakarchuk's guard. Nice move by Seeman!

Vakarchuk tries to roll over but Seeman keeps him under control. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Vakarchuk moves into full guard.

Vakarchuk shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Seeman pinned against the cage. Seeman gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

and Vakarchuk counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Seeman throws a low kick, looking for Vakarchuk's leg but Vakarchuk calmly moves out of range. Seeman throws a body punch but Vakarchuk moves out of range. Vakarchuk fails with the takedown and Seeman counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work. Etan Seeman has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Svyatoslav Vakarchuk.
That's two minutes gone in the round. No joy there for Seeman, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Seeman throws a leg kick and Vakarchuk connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. A chopping leg kick lands by Seeman. Vakarchuk tries to score a power double leg takedown but Seeman sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Vakarchuk somewhat. Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Vakarchuk throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Seeman's waist but Seeman gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Vakarchuk off to one side. It looked like Seeman was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit. Vakarchuk takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Vakarchuk closes this distance looking for a takedown but Seeman circles away. Vakarchuk ducks right into an uppercut from Seeman. Seeman tries to score with a low kick but Vakarchuk moves his leg out of the way. Seeman misses with a looping left. Vakarchuk tries to keep at a distance but Seeman has taken the fight into the clinch. Vakarchuk pulls guard.

Vakarchuk pulls Seeman in close to prevent any damage. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Seeman got a little sloppy there for a moment and Vakarchuk has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Seeman has managed to get both his arms back between Vakarchuk's legs - danger averted. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Etan Seeman. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Seeman, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent.
