Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Tony Bova (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sal Zork (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Bova's entrance music is I came to bring the pain!. A fine choice. Zork has chosen Killswitch Engage - Holy Diver as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Tony Bova! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Sal Zork! The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Cecil Peabody and Stewart Dunkirk.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Zork looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it. Bova throws a right hand that Zork ducks under and follows up with a left that Zork also avoids with ease. Zork has taken the fight to the clinch.
Bova looking for a takedown. Zork effectively controlling the action here. Bova pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Zork clinches up with Bova and pushes him back against the cage. Bova drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Zork gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Bova is pressed up against the cage. Zork has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Bova down to the mat. Bova avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance. Bova wants to slow Zork down by chopping away at his legs. Zork pulls out of a head kick attempt.

It looks like Tony Bova has been cut. Zork has taken the fight to the clinch.
Zork is trying to slow down the pace in the clinch, to catch his breath. Bova wants to break the clinch but can't.

That's one minute gone in the round. Zork wants to lay and pray for a moment but Bova keeps working. Bova wants to get back to his feet. Zork is figuring out what he wants to do next. Zork not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Bova has one foot on Zork's thigh - he pushes off and manages to get back to his feet. Bova throws a series of punches but Zork avoids them all with ease. Zork lands a nice looking body kick. Bova swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. A head kick misses from Zork. Bova misses with a takedown attempt - Zork sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Tony Bova. That's going to take a lot out of him. Zork lands a head kick. Bova smiles back at him and beckons him forward. Bova misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Bova is breathing heavily. Bova looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it. Zork fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Bova sprawls well initially but Zork persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Zork is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Bova is staying active underneath Zork, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Zork thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Zork lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt. Bova is looking to escape. Bova keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Zork postures up and decides to stand up, from the half guard. The ref calls for Bova to stand up. Bova throws and low kick but Zork moves out of range easily. Zork drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Zork trying to control the action but Bova is working from the bottom. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Sal Zork dominated that round. The cut man is working on Tony Bova's cut. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
A head kick from Zork lands but Bova takes it in his stride. Bova tries for a takedown but Zork circles away easily and Zork counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt. Zork shoots in looking for a takedown. Bova tries to sprawl out of it but Zork keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Bova manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Bova looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. No luck for Zork with that takedown attempt. Tony Bova seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Zork shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Bova as he jumps to the side. Tony Bova has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Sal Zork. Zork fails with the takedown. Zork has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Some wild striking there from Bova.
Zork shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Bova as he jumps to the side.
That's one minute gone in the round. Zork drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Bova trying to remain calm as Zork controls from the top position. Zork misses with the ground and pound. Zork trying to control the action but Bova is working from the bottom.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Zork is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Bova's shoulder. That is not cool. Zork swings around for an armbar but Bova sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Zork's guard. Zork is trying to control the position from the bottom.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Bova won't allow Zork to sweep him here. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Bova postures up.
Zork working for a triangle but Bova defends it easily.
Zork looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Bova has picked Zork up and slammed him! Zork can't keep hold of the triangle and Bova manages to pass to side control!
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Zork bucks up and manages to escape back to his feet! Zork will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Bova shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away. Zork is arching his back trying to strike from the bottom but Bova turns him over and now has his back. Bova working for the choke. Zork trying to control the action but Bova just sinks the hooks in. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close second round but I would say that Tony Bova will probably get the nod. The cut man is working on Tony Bova's cut. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. And we move into the final round!

That's one minute gone in the round. Zork gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent. Bova looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Zork is fending him off so far but Bova persists. Nope, Zork circles away and we're back to standing. Bova throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Zork counters with a slapping leg kick. Zork rushes Bova and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. Zork cracks Bova with a nice body shot. Zork pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Zork scores with a takedown into Bova's guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Zork sitting in guard here, content to control. Zork postures up and lands a big shot to Bova's brow. Bova keeping moving, preventing Zork from controlling successfully. Zork postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Zork sitting in guard here, content to control. Zork stands up and waves to Bova to follow him. Good exchange - Zork coming out on top. Zork's corner calls for a 1,2 combination and Zork duly obliges. Bova stuffs the takedown attempt from Zork. Zork gets slowly back to his feet. A combination from Bova does no damage. Zork fakes the leg kick and cracks Bova in the body. Zork scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Zork looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Bova is fending him off so far but Zork persists. Nope, Bova circles away and we're back to standing. Bova takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it. Zork shoots in looking for a takedown. Bova tries to sprawl out of it but Zork keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Bova manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Tony Bova has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Sal Zork. Zork fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Bova looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath. Zork pushes Bova up against the cage in a clinch. Zork escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Zork shoots in for a double leg but Bova sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Bova misses with a double jab
and Zork holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch. Bova is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Zork pulls him back up using the underhooks. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Zork jumps guard and drags Bova to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back. Zork tries to land a sweep but no joy.
And that's the end of the fight! Sal Zork comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Zork has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
