Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Kevo Wooten (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tom Sawyer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Kevo Wooten! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Tom Sawyer! The judges for this bout are Santiago Holmes, David Hoff and Winston Alpacca.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Sawyer lands with a slapping head kick. Sawyer avoids a punch combination nicely.
The fight moves into the clinch position. Sawyer will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Wooten up against the cage. Wooten prevents the takedown attempt.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Sawyer changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Wooten fights it off and pushes away nicely.

That's one minute gone in the round. Wooten tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Sawyer paws at him with a jab and circles away. Nice takedown defense from Sawyer. No joy for Wooten on that attempt. Sawyer fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Kevo Wooten has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Tom Sawyer. and Sawyer moves into the clinch. Wooten wants to get back to striking at distance but Sawyer won't allow it.
Wooten is trying to push Sawyer away but Sawyer has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere. Wooten wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Wooten blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning. Wooten has had enough of the clinch but Sawyer keeps him there for the moment. Sawyer decides to pull guard. Sawyer working a defensive guard here.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Sawyer wants to sweep here but Wooten controlling him for the moment. Wooten knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Sawyer on the ground. Sawyer is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Sawyer is scooting his butt against the cage and has managed to get back to his feet. Wooten presses him back against the cage, presumably looking to take the fight back to the mat. Wooten has had enough of the clinch but Sawyer keeps him there for the moment. Wooten can't break the clinch.
Sawyer is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Wooten pulls him back up using the underhooks. Wooten wants to get back to striking at distance but Sawyer won't allow it.

Wooten is looking to break free of the clinch but Sawyer has double underhooks. Sawyer's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Wooten circles away from the clinch attempt.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Tom Sawyer dominated that round. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
