Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 4 - 0, fighting out of London, Jonathan Brady! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Jamie Lally! The judges for this bout are William Gold, Chris Edwards and Donald Grub.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Lally closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. Lally throwing shots but Brady is blocking nicely. Brady looking for submissions from an awkward position here. Lally missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. Brady is defending against the submission attempts here by Lally.
Lally thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Brady's head. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Brady is looking for a sweep. Lally is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Brady wants to control but Lally is keeping busy.
That's one minute gone in the round. Brady wants to get back to full guard. Lally is controlling the pace.
Brady could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Lally throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. Lally is stalling here. Brady is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Lally seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Brady has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work. Lally tries to control but end up mounted... ooooh, that's bad.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Brady lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning. Lally is trying to escape the mount.
Lally tries to lock up and control but Brady gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. Lally really trying hard to get back to half guard here.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Brady is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Lally has managed to escape the submission attempt.
Brady has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Lally's face.
Brady working for a submission but Lally is keeping him at bay. Lally tries to get back to half guard but can't. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Lally tries to lock up and control but Brady gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. Lally tries to control the position but Brady now has his back.

Brady is persistently looking for the submission but Lally is defending it well.

Brady is looking for a rear naked choke here but Lally reverses the position brilliantly into Brady's guard!
Brady is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Brady looking to control.

Jonathan Brady dominated that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Lally shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Brady's guard. Lally looking to pass the guard. Lally postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Brady is pulling down on Lally's head. It's preventing any offense from Lally, at least for the moment. Lally trying to control but Brady is working from the bottom. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Brady trying to control the position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Brady pulls Lally in close to prevent any damage. Brady bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Lally's guard. Lally is trying to keep Brady in close.

Lally can't do much from the bottom here.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Brady is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Lally has escaped the position, nice work there. Lally is looking for a sweep. Lally looking for a sweep but Brady has passed into full mount! Oh no! Brady swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Lally is now in Brady's guard. A big mistake from Brady there, giving up the dominant position! Jonathan Brady overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Lally won't allow Brady to sweep him here.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Lally trying to control the position from guard on top but Brady is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Lally wants to pass the guard but Brady is keeping the position. Brady keeping moving, preventing Lally from controlling successfully. Lally looking to pass the guard. Brady throwing strikes off his back to little effect.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Lally looking to sit in guard and control but Brady gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Brady postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head. Brady stopping the sweep attempt from Lally. Lally working a defensive guard but Brady manages to pass into side control anyway.
Brady is trying to get an arm triangle but Lally is defending well. Brady is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Lally will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Jonathan Brady dominated that second round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!
Lally looking for a takedown here - he's got it. Lally stands up from Brady's guard - Lally perhaps looking for a knockout. Excellent takedown into side control there by Lally. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Brady struggling a bit here. Lally postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.
That's one minute gone in the round. Lally decides to stand back up. Lally steps back and let's Brady get back to his feet. Brady clinches up with Lally and pushes him back against the cage. Brady is clearly stalling here... Pick up the pace son.
Brady content to slow the pace in the clinch.

Brady is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Lally can do to turn this around? Brady is stalling here.
Brady pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Brady gets caught napping as Lally dives in and scores a takedown. Brady manages to retain guard. Lally postures up.
Lally looking to sit in guard and control but Brady gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Brady keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Lally's head. Brady is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Lally is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Lally has escaped and now he's on top! Brady trying to control the position here. Lally must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Lally stands up over his opponent, looking to dive in with a big punch. Here he comes, superman style! Oh, the punch misses and Brady has got him in a triangle choke for good measure! Oh no! Lally manages to get his head free but now Brady has transitioned to an armbar! Lally grimaces and is forced to tap! Beautiful Jiu Jitsu from Brady! I'd be surprised if that didn't end up as submission of the night!
