Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
14 - 25 - 1, fighting out of Helsinki, Jon Bilashki! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
12 - 12 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Octavio Ramos! The judges for this bout are Johanna Lukiainen, Roosa Järviläinen and Matti Vanhoillinen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Bilashki stuffs the takedown. Ramos avoids the head kick by Bilashki.
Octavio Ramos seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Ramos moves in looking to clinch but Bilashki pushes him off. Bilashki throws a right and a left that Ramos avoids nicely. Ramos connects with a good right hand that stumbles Bilashki. Bilashki circles away out of range and recomposes himself. Ramos shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Bilashki but Bilashki pushes him off and we're back to square one. Bilashki throws a right hand that Ramos ducks under and follows up with a left that Ramos also avoids with ease. Ramos shoots and misses and Bilashki counters into the clinch. Nicely done. Jon Bilashki has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Octavio Ramos. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Bilashki pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Ramos stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush. Ramos has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Bilashki is landing a low percentage of strikes. Ramos throws a predictable looking body shot
and Bilashki counters with a hugh head kick that removes Ramos from consiousness! A brutal head kick knockout!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:56 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Head Kick). Jon Bilashki! Jon Bilashki bigged himself up after the win. The crowd seemed to love it.
