The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
TheDestroya throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Gentry was covering up waiting for the punch and TheDestroya finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Gentry wriggles free and stands up.
TheDestroya tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Gentry closes the distance and pushes TheDestroya back into the cage.
TheDestroya jumps into guard, dragging Gentry to the mat.
TheDestroya wants to sweep here but Gentry controlling him for the moment.
TheDestroya throws a couple of weedy looking strikes off his back.

Gentry paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.
Gentry manages to get an easy takedown there - catching TheDestroya on his heels. He'll look to pass TheDestroya's guard now, I'm sure.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
