Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Kenshin Himura (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Daxx Goodman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Daxx Goodman will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Kenshin Himura! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Daxx Goodman! The judges for this bout are Jorge Garcia, Chad Campbell and Jonathan Paton.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Himura looks to score with a jab to the body but Goodman is just out of range. Himura pushing out the jab but it's not landing. Himura throws a looping overhand right but Goodman ducks down to avoid it. Himura misses with a left hand and Goodman counters with a lovely shot to the body. Goodman tries to score a power double leg takedown but Himura sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Goodman somewhat. Himura swings and misses with a hook to the body.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Goodman avoids the body shot from Himura.
Goodman fails to land the takedown. Goodman is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Goodman looks winded! Himura looks to score with a jab to the body but Goodman is just out of range.
That's one minute gone in the round. Goodman swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Goodman tries for a takedown but Himura sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Kenshin Himura has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Daxx Goodman. Himura takes a swing at Goodman's ribcage but misses. Himura takes the fight into the clinch. Himura trying to land knees to the body.
Goodman goes for a takedown attempt but Himura pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Himura thows a left - swing and a miss! Himura scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground. Himura is looking to take a break and control but Goodman is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Still in half guard, Himura seems content to control.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Himura trying to control from half guard but Goodman is working away. Himura trying to mount his opponent but Goodman defends it. Himura is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Himura trying to control the pace. Himura passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Goodman!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Goodman defends a decent attempt at a guillotine from Himura. Himura controlling the pace for now. Himura seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Goodman for as long as he can get away with. Himura is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Goodman to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Goodman shrugs it off.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Himura pushing the pace here, looking to move to his opponents back and work for a finish.
Himura tries to control but Goodman wriggling away. Himura controlling the position easily from mount. Himura wants to take his opponent's back but Goodman doesn't allow it. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Goodman is squirming around, avoiding Himura's attempts to control the action. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Kenshin Himura dominated that round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Goodman fails with the takedown. Daxx Goodman is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Goodman keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Goodman tries to score a power double leg takedown but Himura sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Goodman somewhat. Himura throws a body punch but Goodman moves out of range. Himura slips nicely into half guard. Himura is trying to control. Goodman wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. Himura is just content to waste time from the top position. Goodman takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard. Goodman keeping moving, preventing Himura from controlling successfully.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Goodman keeping full guard, as Himura tries to pass. Himura drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Himura jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Himura wants to control from the top but Goodman keeps moving. Goodman being controlled here, momentarily. Himura stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Goodman swivels though and keeps the full guard.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. A looping hook to the body misses from Himura. Goodman does a little dance to reset his feet. Goodman keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Himura throws a jab but it's blocked by Goodman. Excellent takedown into side control there by Goodman. Himura manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu! Goodman is staying active underneath Himura, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Himura is working for a submission of some sort.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Himura trying to mount his opponent but Goodman defends it. Himura trying to control the action but Goodman is working from the bottom. Goodman has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Himura is working away from the top position though. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Himura wants to pass to mount but Goodman is defending the position. Himura is trying to control the action in half guard but Goodman is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Himura fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Goodman manages to avoid it. Himura clinches up with Goodman and pushes him back against the cage. Himura effectively controlling the action here. Himura tries to land knees in the clinch but Goodman avoids the damage to the body. A hook to the body from Himura.

That's one minute gone in the round. Himura swings wildly with an uppercut but Goodman uses good head movement to avoid it. Goodman takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Himura works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard. Himura looking to sit in guard and control but Goodman gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
Kenshin Himura overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Goodman trying to control but Himura is working from the bottom. Goodman trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Goodman won't allow Himura to sweep him here. Himura is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Himura seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Goodman does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Goodman is defending against the submission attempts here by Himura.
Himura controlling the action here. Himura wants to take a breather but Goodman is having none of it. Himura is pressing down on Goodman's thigh, looking to free his foot. Goodman is holding on for now. Kenshin Himura is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

Goodman won't allow Himura to pass to mount. Himura seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Goodman does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity. Goodman shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Himura sprawls well. Himura wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Goodman gets slowly back to his feet.

He'll be looking to tighten that up but Himura can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Goodman keeping moving, preventing Himura from controlling successfully. Daxx Goodman has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Himura looking to sit in guard and control but Goodman gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
And that's the end of the fight! Kenshin Himura showed his dominance in that final round. Well Himura has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
