The judges for this bout are Paul Tew, Colin Fotheringham and James Ackerman.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dehu thows a left - swing and a miss!
Kirkland flicks out a counter leg kick but Dehu steps away.
Dehu doesn't manage to clinch there - Kirkland circles away.
A slow jab from Dehu misses its intended target.
Kirkland feints a counter leg kick.
Dehu misses with a looping left.
Kirkland throws a lazy uppercut
and Dehu counters with a lovely straight right hand!
It looks like Troy Kirkland has been cut.

Kirkland slips under a jab from Dehu.
Dehu fails to land with a series of punches.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Dehu swings widly with a right hand
and Kirkland counters with a straight right hand.
It looks like Hassan Dehu has been cut.
Kirkland throws a lazy right hand but Dehu sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Kirkland avoids the body shot from Dehu.
Dehu throws a right hand that misses
and Kirkland counters with a nice uppercut.

and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick.
Kirkland walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
Kirkland cracks Dehu with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.
Dehu misses with a body shot.
Dehu looks up at the clock. Bad move! Kirkland lands a right hand from hell, dropping Dehu. Kirkland pounces and finishes the fight with a flurry of punches and elbows.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:50 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Troy Kirkland!
