Coming up we have a welterweight Tycoon World Grappling Championship rules bout between Masakazu Aoki and Jacob Clarke. Aoki comes into the arena with Sandstorm by Darude blaring out of the sound system. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!
This TWGC bout is 1 fifteen minute round in the welterweight division. Introducing today's competitors. In the red corner, competing out of Rio de Janeiro, with a TWGC record of 0 wins and 0 losses; Masakazu Aoki! And in the blue corner, fighting out of New York, with a TWGC record of 0 wins and 0 losses; Jacob Clarke! The judges for this bout are Percy O'Donnell, Frank Antenori and Don Winkell.
The official calls the fighters to the middle and the contest is under way. The fight moves into the clinch position. Aoki has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance. Clarke is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Aoki gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt. Aoki wants the takedown. Clarke is fighting it off but Aoki persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Clarke's guard against the cage.
