Coming up we have a heavyweight Tycoon World Grappling Championship rules bout between Bret The Grinder and King Kong. The Grinder comes to the cage accompanied by Drake - Energy. Bret The Grinder has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.
This TWGC bout is 1 fifteen minute round in the heavyweight division. Introducing today's competitors. The fighters bow as they face eachother in the middle of the mat and we are under way. The Grinder leaves Kong with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Kong is looking to clinch. The Grinder closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Kong is trying to pull guard but The Grinder has him pressed against the cage. The Grinder is defending well against a takedown attempt. Bret The Grinder has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of King Kong. Kong tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. The Grinder just stands there and leans against the cage. Kong is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables The Grinder to keep the fight standing. Kong is trying to pull guard but The Grinder has him pressed against the cage. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. The Grinder turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and The Grinder manages to end up in side control. A lull in the action here as The Grinder stalls from top position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kong is trying to get back to half guard. Kong prevents The Grinder from moving into mount. The Grinder controlling the position from side mount. The Grinder seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Kong for as long as he can get away with.
