Coming up we have a welterweight Tycoon World Grappling Championship rules bout between Potap Kononov and Virgil Dreesen. I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

This TWGC bout is 1 fifteen minute round in the welterweight division. Introducing today's competitors. In the red corner, competing out of Rio de Janeiro, with a TWGC record of 3 wins and 2 losses; Potap Kononov! And in the blue corner, fighting out of Las Vegas, with a TWGC record of 0 wins and 0 losses; Virgil Dreesen!
The judges for this bout are Fedor Mirinova, Igor Prikhodko and Sergei Dronov.


The fighters bow as they face eachother in the middle of the mat and we are under way.
Kononov shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Dreesen as he jumps to the side.

Dreesen rushes Kononov and presses him up against the cage.

Kononov works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard.

Kononov isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Dreesen stacks Kononov on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Dreesen!

Let's hope that Dreesen has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
