Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
9 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Eva Contonio! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
12 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Eino Kolehmainen! The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Stewart Dunkirk and Cecil Peabody.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Contonio's jab looks to have found its range, popping Kolehmainen under the eye. Kolehmainen looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. Kolehmainen tries to pass the half guard into mount. Contonio knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt. Kolehmainen is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Contonio! Contonio tries to get back to half guard but can't. Contonio has given up his back.
Contonio is staying cool under pressure, defending well against the rear naked choke attempt from his opponent.
The crowd hopeful of a finish here - Kolehmainen's supporters are on their feet, screaming for him to go for the rear naked choke.
