Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Cedric Maake (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Nikolai Radev (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
22 - 14 - 1, fighting out of London, Cedric Maake! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
23 - 13 - 0, fighting out of London, Nikolai Radev! The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Don Winkell and .
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Maake fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Radev manages to avoid it. Radev throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Nice uppercut there from Radev. Radev cracks Maake with a good jab. Radev misses with a leg kick and Maake counters with a nice uppercut.
It looks like Nikolai Radev has been cut. Radev takes a body punch but keeps moving. A slow jab from Radev misses its intended target. A solid leg kick lands there for Radev.
Maake checks the leg kick nicely there.
Maake throws a looping overhand right but Radev ducks down to avoid it. Radev fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Maake to the ground. Radev is now in Maake's guard. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Radev throws a big elbow that misses. Radev missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Radev in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
That's one minute gone in the round. Maake keeping moving, preventing Radev from controlling successfully. My spies in Flower Power Pillow Fighters Training Center inform me that Radev has been getting involved in the gym's BJJ sparring sessions. Let's see whether that pays dividends! Radev preventing the sweep. Radev landing with the ground and pound. Maake utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Maake looking to hit a scissor sweep but Radev is one step ahead there. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Radev accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Radev throwing strikes but missing. Radev scoring with punches to the head and body. Maake tries to land a sweep but no joy.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Maake holds on and takes a little breather. Radev trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Maake looking to hit a scissor sweep but Radev is one step ahead there. Maake is working hard here to advance position. Maake keeping moving, preventing Radev from controlling successfully.
The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. Radev fakes a jab and then connects with a hook. Maake displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Radev. Radev takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.

Radev lands a really nice looking cross but Maake seems unphased.

and Maake connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Nice defenses there by Radev. Maake keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Maake looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight. Maake misses the shot to the body. Maake misses with an uppercut. Radev saw that one coming. Maake misses the jab. Maake throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Radev sees it coming and avoids it easily. Radev lands a nice leg kick that just misses Maake's sensitive parts. Maake misses with an uppercut

That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Maake misses the jab. Maake throws the left hand but Radev avoids the punch easily. Radev scores with a head kick. Maake tried to block it but didn't get his arm up in time. Radev scores with a jab. Radev slips a straight right by Maake. A clash of legs there as Maake blocks the low kick. An attempted straight right counter from Maake misses the target. Some bone on bone action there as Radev checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one. Maake misses with a double jab
and Radev counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena. A big left from Radev misses. Maake on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those. Maake checks the leg kick. Maake was looking to counter that last move with a shot to the body but he didn't commit. Maake closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Nikolai Radev dominated that round. The cut man is working on Nikolai Radev's cut. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Radev catches Maake with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong! Radev swings for the body but Maake moves out of range.
It looked like Maake wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit. Radev fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Nikolai Radev seems to be getting the better of the standup. Radev avoids the body shot from Maake.

Maake moves away from the strike by Radev. Radev is looking to slow Maake down with leg kicks. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Radev misses with a straight right. Maake avoids a low kick by using good footwork. It looked like Maake was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from Radev. Maake pushes Radev away with a front kick. Maake lands a jab to Radev's midsection. Radev scores with a push kick.
That's one minute gone in the round. Maake ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. Radev dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Maake. That did some damage! Nikolai Radev seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Maake tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Radev was well out of range. Poor timing from Maake. Radev throws a lazy right hand but Maake sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Maake thuds his right hand into Radev's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters. Radev stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush. Radev has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Maake throws a hook to the side of Radev's head but Radev sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Radev is looking to slow Maake down with leg kicks. Cedric Maake is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Radev steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Maake. Radev scores with a nice head shot. Radev throws an off balance right hand
and Maake cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Radev looks to land a right hand but Maake moved out of range. As Radev backs away, Maake returns fire with a leg kick that just misses.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Maake throws a leg kick but Radev sees it coming and checks it nicely. Maake connects with a right hand. Radev shakes it off. Maake is hobbling a little on that front leg after taking quite a few leg kicks so far in this fight. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Radev jabs at Maake's body. Maake on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Radev. Radev obviously looking to wear him down.
Radev throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd. Maake tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Radev was well out of range. Poor timing from Maake. A telegraphed right hand from Maake misses the target. Radev displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Maake throws out the jab. Radev lands a jab to Maake's midsection. Radev bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Maake's head backwards.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Maake throws an overhand right that lands on Radev's shoulder, as Radev tries to avoid the shot. Radev's jab looks to have found its range, popping Maake under the eye. A leg kick checked by Radev. Radev swinging wildly here.
Maake appears to be looking for a counter punch to the body. Radev thumps Maake with a low kick. Maake looks to score with a jab to the body but Radev is just out of range. Radev was about to counter that last move with a leg kick but changes his mind. Maake checks a leg kick. Maake throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Radev sees it coming and avoids it easily. Maake scores with a sloppy right hand. Radev should have avoided that one. Radev scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one. and Radev counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. This has been an exciting period of action! Radev slips a jab from Maake. A chopping leg kick lands by Maake. Maake thows a left - swing and a miss! Radev throws out a counter right but Maake avoids it with no problem. Maake blocks a head kick by Radev.
Maake was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger. Radev connects with a nice looking jab.
Maake lands a kick to the ribs of his opponent. Nice work there - in and out in a flash.

Nikolai Radev showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The cut man is working on Nikolai Radev's cut. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!
Radev throws a hook to the side of Maake's head but Maake sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Radev clobbers Maake with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise. Radev throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.
Maake swung with a counter punch to the body but it didn't connect. Radev cracks Maake with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd. Maake turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick. Radev scores with a nice body kick.
Maake takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Radev connects with an inside leg kick. Maake goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo. Radev throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Radev ducks under a wild hook from Maake. Radev only half commits to the counter leg kick. Maake moves out of range of the leg kick from Radev. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Nice straight punches there by Radev. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Radev.

He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Maake has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Maake and we're back underway with a touch of gloves. Maake tried to counter with a leg kick but Radev avoided it. Maake looks like he's developed a pretty tasty lump over his left eye. He'll need to avoid taking much more damage to that. Maake has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Maake there as he acknowledges the shot. Some bone on bone action there as Maake checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one. Maake half committed to a counter leg kick. Maake throws out a leg kick but Radev moves out of range and Maake only half commits. Radev follows through with a counter body kick but it doesn't land. Nice defenses there by Radev. Radev wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection. And that's the end of the fight! Nikolai Radev comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Radev has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
