The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Garcia closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
The strikes coming from Garcia are missing the target in this wave of attacks.
Garcia is looking to take a break and control but Arling is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Arling is trying to control Garcia's posture but Garcia avoids it.
Arling is trying to buck Garcia off.

Garcia working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
Garcia tries to move into full mount but can't pass Arling's legs.
Garcia fails to land a wild elbow strike.

Arling avoids any damage from the ground and pound of Garcia.
Arling is not in a great position here, taking some shots.

Arling tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Garcia wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
Garcia has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Arling is desperately trying to improve his position but Garcia has a good base and remains in mount.

Garcia wants to finish this one by submission but Arling is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Garcia.

He's hopped off into side control, looking to tighten the submission... is it going to work? He's given up a good position looking for it. Arling looks OK. Oh, I spoke too soon, he's out! That must have been tighter than I thought! Excellent work there by Garcia! Submission of the night perhaps?
